I can't seem to create my weekly WSC card without an adorable Pure Innocence girl or boy lately, so I thought it would be appropriate to remain consistent in my weekly efforts, ha! All kidding aside, I absolutely love coloring and paper piecing these sweeties, so much that I combined two sets for this week's card: A Cart Full of Friends & A Boy and His Dog. I have a niece who adores our mini Dachshund, Idgie, and I can just picture her toting old Idge around in a wagon, just like today's scene...makes me smile just thinking about it.
Not only did I paper piece her sweet dress, I paper pieced the dog and then colored her with a few Copics. The grass is none other than the Die-namics Grass die, wrapped up with a couple rounds of twine. I couldn't help myself but to pop buttons on for the wagon wheels as it adds just a little dimension to the card without adding too much, if you know what I mean.
Remember to stop over at Kim's to see the entire list of participants for this week's sketch!

TCP Tuesday 152 & Blog Hop!
Welcome to TCP Tuesday 152 (Technique Challenge) along with our new release blog hop! You may have hopped here from Jen's blog, and when you're finished, hop along to Leigh's blog. I'm sure each of these girls is sporting some serious eye candy, so don't miss out! Speaking of 'missing'...how about the "I Miss You" sentiment on my pinwheel pouch?! It's from one of the latest and greatest must-have sets from The Cat's Pajamas, Simply Said. Simply said, you really need this set...and the CutUps Pinwheels die...and The Tweetest Things...and the coordinating CutUps die called Home Sweet Home...oh, I could go on and on!
Today's TCP Tuesday Technique Challenge is to make a shaped card, so I've made a sort of 3-D card, if you will. This one wouldn't fare so well in traditional snail mail delivery mode, but what better way to tell someone you miss them than by hand delivering?! Anyway...the card is made using the CutUps Pennant, Pinwheels, Buttons & Big Scallop dies, along with two stamps from Simply Said. The pinwheels are attached to sucker sticks (I found mine at Walmart in the cake decorating/wedding section) after a brad was inserted through the pinwheel to secure all layers. The pouch was created by sewing the right and left sides of the pennant front to the scalloped felt pennant back, leaving an opening at the top, and a braid of TCP's Ivory Linen Thread is threaded through die cut buttons for a handle...clear as mud? I just may have directions for the entire project in the near future...
Enough rambling, you've got places to go, great things to see. Don't forget to hop on over to Leigh's blog now, and thanks for stopping here today! Oh, oh...one last thing: Alma has great video tutorials on the TCP website detailing the know-how on making your very own pinwheels and rosettes!

Sneaky Peek Day 7: Simply Said & Tweetest Things
This has been fun week of Sneaky Peeking, so you can imagine the fun I've had stamping with all of these new sets from The Cat's Pajamas! Judging by the rest of the samples laid before our eyes from the rest of the Cat Pack...I'm pretty sure they've had a ball as well! Today's Sneaky Peek includes two sets, Simply Said and Tweetest Things. I'll start out with Simply Said...
This card was made for a dear friend of our family who turned 80 this month. He's an avid license plate collector, so I did a little research on Google for inspiration and came up with this using Simply Said and two alphabet sets from The Cat's Pajamas: Coolvetica & Babydoll. I've also incorporated my CutUps Big Scallop die, which I can't seem to live without lately! I'm going to tell you right now: you need Simply Said. It's going to be your go-to sentiment set, full of great fonts and just the right size!
This card also uses Simply Said along with some great papers from My Mind's Eye, again my CutUps Big Scallop die and Button Trio die. See...you need this set!
Finally is a card using Tweetest Things...another awesome set that coordinates with our CutUps Home Tweet Home die (a match made in TCP heaven)! My head is still swimming with ideas for this stamp set/die combo, and you'll see why when you take a peek at the full set and die graphics below.
Thanks for hanging with me through the long post today! Check out Alma's blog for more Sneaky Peek links, and be sure to stop by our member company forum over at Splitcoast Stampers tonight for the Splitcoast Release Party starting from 8-10pm EST, 5-7pm PST...you just never know when you could snag one of these swanky new sets!

Sneaky Peek Day 6: Well Hello
Wow, it's been a great week in TCP Land with all of the Sneaky Peeks, and today is no exception! Day 6 of The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek week is Field of Pinwheels, again featuring our sweet bunny sitting in a field of dreamy pinwheels. Seems pinwheels are popping up everywhere these days, so I was over the moon when I saw this set (not to mention a CutUps pinwheel die)! I've also used our new CutUps Easy Rosette die to create a bunting on either side of the main image panel, along with TCP's Ivory Linen Thread and more dreamy paper from My Mind's Eye.
Check in at Alma's blog for more eye candy as well as a list of the other gals playing along with today's Sneaky Peek!

TCP Sneaky Peek {SFYTT}
Is this the sweetest little boy or what?! He's from the soon to be released set called Wet Puddle. I muddied up his boots a bit, embossed the mud puddle bubbles under his feet and then sponged a darker ink over the top to pop them out. I've also snuck in one of my favorite CutUps dies--Stamp Trio (a must have, girls) along with the CutUps Button Trio die.
Check out Jen's blog for the original sketch and also Alma's blog for a full list of Sneaky Peeks today! Have a great weekend.

Sneaky Peek Week, Day 4!
Here we are with Day 4 of Sneaky Peek Week at The Cat's Pajamas, featuring another adorable bunny from artist Zlatina Gocheva. I don't know that I could ever tire of her bunnies, and now a girl bunny?! Couldn't get any sweeter, and you know what they say about rabbits...and now that we have both genders in the TCP House, I'm guessing there will be many more to come, ha! Other fun TCP elements include the CutUps Stamp Trio die and yummy new Divine Twine in Purple Plum.
Tomorrow I'll be combining another Sneaky Peek with Jen's March SFYTT, so stop by in the morning!

Sneaky Peek Week Day 3: You Rock My World!
It's Day 3 of Sneaky Peek Week from The Cat's Pajamas, and I'm showing off a hilariously fun set called Idols! Carole, Leigh and Jen also have Sneaky Peeks, so be sure to stop by their blogs for true stamping genius with this set! This set was a bit intimidating to me, so I kept my card fairly simple, using the sentiments (song lyrics) to create a fun background, individualizing each image on its own layer and winding it all up with TCP Divine Twine in Purple Plum (yum-yum). One other fun embellishment I added is the sparkly strips by applying fine glitter to red line tape, above and below my main image panel...cause they ARE rock-stars after all!
Stop by Alma's blog for an entire list of today's Sneaky Peek events and sketch me in tomorrow for yet another Sneaky Peek! I'll leave you with a peek at the entire Idols set...

MFT Wednesday Stamp: Adore You!
I finally got my hands on this PI girl (Being Cute Is What I Do), and I can see many more cards coming down the pike with her face all over them...she's irresistible, especially combined with the Die-namics Mini Rolled Flower die! I've also used the Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip die as well for a little extra color. I've been dabbling in "grass making" lately, first sketching blades of grass with a fine tip marker and then adding more general color with a Copic marker, and I have to say I'm pleased with the results (no comments from you grass-pros out there, please)!

MFT Wednesday Stamp: Thank You!
I need to send a fellow teacher-friend a thank you note, and decided I'd using this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch for my card. Of course, I had to use my Pure Innocence You Make The Grade stamp since it was so fitting for the occasion, right?! I've also incorporated my Die-namics Dainty Dots Border layered on the yellow polka dot paper. I'm having fun mixing and matching patterned paper from some new 6x6 pads from MME Stella Rose Collection, so watch for more of those papers to come!
Check out Kim's blog for this week's original sketch as well as the gals playing along with it. Don't forget that by playing along, you're eligible for a little extra MFT cash! Upload to SCS using keyword: MFTWSC11.

TCP Tuesday 150: Sketch Challenge
Leigh is this week's TCP Tuesday hostess and she's challenging us with one of her hip and happenin' sketches. This one uses two triangle-like pennant shapes, so if you already own The Cat's Pajamas CutUps Pennant die, this sketch is going to be a cinch for you!
In addition to the CutUps Pennant panels, I've paper pieced and Copic colored Snowflake Girl, adding extra fringe to her scarf using The Cat's Pajamas Ivory Linen Thread colored with Copics. I've never tried coloring this thread before, and boy is that slick! I love that I was able to stretch this stamp into Spring because she's just THAT darn cute, especially holding the flower in her hand...a sign of Spring, right?! The rest of my embellishments include more CutUps dies: Flower Buttons and Buttons, and the fabulous paper is from My Mind's Eye.
Please check out both Leigh and Alma's blogs for more TCP Tuesday fun! Can't wait to see what you've drummed up with Leigh's sketch.

TCP Tuesday {Retro}...again!
I decided since I used an "old" project for this week's TCP Tuesday: Retro (see previous post), I'd conjure up something new since I had a little extra time on my hands. I used a classic from The Cat's Pajamas, It's a Mod, Mod World, along with our new Love Letters. My retro challenge goes waaay back to a sketch from TCP Tuesday #3! I haven't made a long-skinny (card) for quite some time and quite enjoyed the change! One last deet before I go is all about that yummy Divine Twine...head on over to TCP to fulfill your twine-fix!
Remember to check out Alma's blog for the complete challenge details, and have a great weekend!

TCP Tuesday {Retro}!
This week's TCP Tuesday challenge is offered up by Alma, and she's given us the pleasure of going "retro"; choosing a previous TCP Tuesday challenge as a springboard for our creations this week. I'm really going retro with this fun 'bunny banner' I made last fall but forgot to share with you here on my blog!
My bunny banner uses the four winter bunny sets that were released in November 2010 along with our CutUps Pennant die used to create each as an embellishment (TCPTUES135). Although each of these snow bunnies is more fun than one should have stamping all on their own, they're pulled together here with the colors in the October Afternoon papers I've used.
Don't forget to stop by Alma's blog for all the information you need to play along with this week's 'retro' challenge...
Have a hoppin' day!

Welcome to the delayed version of this month's SFYTT! I sincerely apologize for posting a day late, but I totally FORGOT to photograph and blog my card before I left for the weekend, and I even had my card all finished and everything! Anyway, here's my card using a hilariously cute digi image from this month's sponsor, Amber Ink:
Every time I look at Kittykat Kid, I smile. She's got the greatest expression on her face! I paper pieced her outfit and colored in the rest with Copics, adding bits of sparkle with my Sakura Gelly Roll pen here and there. The paper is from MME's Black Bird collection, and the sentiment is from an older set from The Cat's Pajamas, called Loving Mew.
Jen's March Guest Designer is Shelley Dupont, and I just can't wait to see what she and the other SFYTT sisters have in store for this month's fun sketch!

Top o' the morning, Mate!
It's a bit hard to see my (computer generated) sentiment beneath the orange bow, but it's there, wishing you a good day, Mate! I printed the sentiment on Simply Chartreuse card stock (PTI) before die cutting it with my CutUps Big Scallop die from The Cat's Pajamas. I just can't make anything 'TCP' these days without my Big Scallop die! You might spy another CutUps die in the mix, the Wave die, holding up our adorable TCP whale from the A Whale of a Time set with a fun St. Paddy's Day hat (A Beary Good Year) perched atop his sweet little (big) head! I always find it a fun challenge to look outside the box for ways to stretch my existing stamp sets to fit 'other' holidays.
Oh, BTW...my card today is for this week's TCP Tuesday Challenge #148: Let's Get Lucky, hosted by our dear Susan Liles. Please check out Sus's blog for all the swanky details, hop over to Alma's blog to link your card, and don't forget SCS where you can hang with the TCP gang in our member company forum and/or upload your card using keyword: TCPTUES148.
Hope y'all 'Get Lucky' this week...just sayin'!

You Give Me Warm Fuzzies {WSC}
I'm so excited to show you a peek at one of the newest Pure Innocence sets, Warm Fuzzies! She's just adorable as can be, and although I've kept her a white bunny for today's card, I can't wait to paper piece her with some yummy patterned papers! This is also sketch #9 for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club, and another great sketch it is! You can see lots more of this sketch by checking out the MFTWSC9 gallery over at SCS.
Be sure to check out Kim's blog for a list of all the girls playing along this week, and stop by the MFT Member Co. Forum over at SCS while you're uploading your sketch #9 card (keyword: MFTWSC9) for even more inspiration!
Have a great Wednesday...
