Countdown to Confetti - You Are My Hero

It's Day 3 of Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti, just one day away from the June release! I have enjoyed reading all of your sweet comments and hope you'll take a minute to leave another today for a chance at one of two Reverse Confetti gift certificates being given away. Today's card features a trendy new cover panel named Sunburst and a patriotic stamp set that you will love - Because of the Brave. I'm also incorporating Seeing Stars Confetti Cuts - your one stop shop for stars in all shapes and sizes!

 

I decided that the 'you are my hero' sentiment from Because of the Brave would make a perfect Father's Day card, so I've combined it with a die cut 'dad' (and pocket) from Tie-Rific Confetti Cuts, and it matches perfectly with the font used on 'hero' - cool, right?!

 

The tag is from In the Bag Confetti Cuts, and I trimmed it down so that it would fit neatly inside the pocket. Here's a quick look at how I used foam tape to make a 'stop' for tag.

 

Here's a look at the tag tucked inside the pocket. Did you happen to notice that sweet twine?! It too will be available tomorrow along with the June release, and it's called Firecracker - love it!

TCP Tuesday 209: Dad's Day

I've got a fun card to share with you today that fits-the-bill for the men in your life as well as this week's TCP Tuesday Challenge #209 issued by Susan to use the CutUps Pennant Die and anything TCP having to do with the Letter M! Sorry folks, I couldn't resist using the CutUps Mustache Die once again...just couldn't resist.

The knot portion of the necktie is actually the Small Pennant Die in disguise with the bottom portion being hand cut for a nice custom fit! The CutUps Mustache Die tops off the trio.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card which used the CutUps Big Ticket & Mustache Dies in conjunction with The Mustache Set, Nightie & Babydoll Alphas, and Admit One.

My first card is a quick and easy Father's Day card using a sentiment from Mixed Bag of Greetings (now 40% off) and CrissCross Border stamp, topped with a mustache cut with my Silhouette--easy peasy, mac and cheesy!

Second up is a sweet little Valentine using my favorite elephant from Special Delivery. I decided to 'extend' the elephant set by adding a die cut heart swooshing from the trunk along with a computer generated sentiment. I think I could easily mass produce this design, don't you? And what better way to get the most bang from your buck with this adorable set.
