Color Throwdown - Waving Hello

Seaside is one of my favorite Reverse Confetti stamp sets, so when I spied the gold anchor pillow in the Color Throwdown #445 inspiration piece, I knew I had to pull it out (who am I kidding - it was sitting right there on my stamping table)!

I combined the 'waving' sentiment from Seaside with 'hello' from the new Hello & Thanks Label Confetti Cuts. I wanted to incorporate the adorable octopus image, so I created a background by stamping him repeatedly in Navy ink on coordinating Navy cardstock.

Color Throwdown Challenge #444

Welcome to this week's Color Throwdown Challenge. I really hope you'll come out and play with us as I'm hosting the challenge over at the Color Throwdown blog. There's some swanky inspiration over there, so be sure to check it out. My card combines new and old from the Reverse Confetti line - Globe Confetti Cuts, Work of Art and coordinating Work of Art Confetti Cuts (the new kids in town).

I love mixing up product lines and thought the artist palette when combined with the sentiment made a perfect partner for the globe. I started by clear embossing the sentiment and then color washing green ink over it using Zig markers. I used the same greens to watercolor the paint on the palette. Making this card with its shades of green reminded me of our dear sweet May guest - Amy Tsuruta, so this one's for you, girl! Amy typically combines yellow with her signature green, but the challenge colors weren't calling for it, and didn't want to be a rule breaker.

Enjoy The Ride

Happy Thursday! I couldn't resist the current Inspired by All the Little Things challenge featuring the sweetest bicycle and basket of flowers. Of course, Reverse Confetti's newly release Rollin' was the perfect match! I also used stamps and dies from Hippity Hoppity and Candles 'N Confetti

Color Throwdown 443 + SPD Mix It Up 31

Welcome to double challenge day here on the blog! I've got a sweet little number for you today featuring this week's Color Throwdown Challenge palette and the SugarPea Designs Mix It Up challenge sketch.  My card today uses a fun mix of SugarCuts dies and a stamped sentiment from Terrific Ties.

I have so much fun with these SugarCuts 'scapes, and love mixing and matching them with other products to create a sweet little scene. I used the sketch from the Mix It Up challenge as my scene starter, adding watercolored elements from SchoolScape and Whatever The Weather. I topped it off with a die cut Thanks sentiment and Terrific Ties stamped sentiment. The entire scene is situated on a Notebook Journal Card.

Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop

It’s time again for the SugarPea Designs Sweet 2 Repeat Blog Hop!  Now that you have the Spring Release in your stash, the SPD designers have geared up to inspire you with even MORE creative possibilities featuring the new products.
One of my favorite products from the release is Terrific Ties and the coordinating dies, including Dad Words. There are endless possibilities when combining these stamps and dies. I created a crisp white shirt collar and popped in on the top of a Chatterbox Journal Card, just because I love that die and thought it would be fun and different. I then topped my 'shirt' with a Terrific Ties die cut from blue striped washi tape (applied to a scrap of white cardstock), a wood veneer star. I stamped Terrific Ties sentiment in light grey ink and triple stacked the Dad Words die.

Would you like to WIN a $20 gift certificate to spend on some SugarPea Designs of your own? Please visit with each of our design team members listed HERE on the SugarPea blog and leave a little comment to win!

Thanks for stopping in to share a bit of your day with me.
