I ♥ U Cutie Pie
I just could NOT resist the latest Pure Innocence girlies in the JULY VIP Collection from MFT including this, my favorite--Picture Perfect! I paired her with stamps from Die-namics Vanity License Plate and Stamp Set, another set I've been resisting for some time now, and yummy papers from Echo Park (This & That Charming). The left hand tab what die cut using another Die-namics die, Polka Dot Greetings. It was only fitting that I used MFT's Wednesday Sketch Challenge as well, right?! You can check out the sketch over at the MFT blog here.
I hope you're enjoying your weekend, and thanks for stopping by today!

You're not old...
A quick post to share a birthday card I made last week using MFT's Die-namics Just My Type Die & stamp set along with a strip of my favorite paper from Cosmo Cricket--Circa 1934! I'm getting down to snips and strips of that paper, so I must order more, but you know how that goes--it's hard to stop buying at one little 6x6 pad of paper!
Lots to do today, so that's all the chit-chat I've got time for today. Thanks for stopping by!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch 13
I can't seem to create my weekly WSC card without an adorable Pure Innocence girl or boy lately, so I thought it would be appropriate to remain consistent in my weekly efforts, ha! All kidding aside, I absolutely love coloring and paper piecing these sweeties, so much that I combined two sets for this week's card: A Cart Full of Friends & A Boy and His Dog. I have a niece who adores our mini Dachshund, Idgie, and I can just picture her toting old Idge around in a wagon, just like today's scene...makes me smile just thinking about it.
Not only did I paper piece her sweet dress, I paper pieced the dog and then colored her with a few Copics. The grass is none other than the Die-namics Grass die, wrapped up with a couple rounds of twine. I couldn't help myself but to pop buttons on for the wagon wheels as it adds just a little dimension to the card without adding too much, if you know what I mean.
Remember to stop over at Kim's to see the entire list of participants for this week's sketch!

MFT Wednesday Stamp: Adore You!
I finally got my hands on this PI girl (Being Cute Is What I Do), and I can see many more cards coming down the pike with her face all over them...she's irresistible, especially combined with the Die-namics Mini Rolled Flower die! I've also used the Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip die as well for a little extra color. I've been dabbling in "grass making" lately, first sketching blades of grass with a fine tip marker and then adding more general color with a Copic marker, and I have to say I'm pleased with the results (no comments from you grass-pros out there, please)!
Remember to pop on over to Kim's blog for everyone participating with this week's sketch, and find out how you can win yourself a little MFT moo-lah!

MFT Wednesday Stamp: Thank You!
I need to send a fellow teacher-friend a thank you note, and decided I'd using this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch for my card. Of course, I had to use my Pure Innocence You Make The Grade stamp since it was so fitting for the occasion, right?! I've also incorporated my Die-namics Dainty Dots Border layered on the yellow polka dot paper. I'm having fun mixing and matching patterned paper from some new 6x6 pads from MME Stella Rose Collection, so watch for more of those papers to come!

It'll Be Okay {WSC}
Another week of MFT's WSC means another great sketch. This week I've turned that great sketch on it's head with my sweet little Pure Innocence girl, combined with some of my favorite October Afternoon papers and the new flat bottomed cloud Die-namics die.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club {Splash}!
I strayed a bit from this week's sketch (#8 if you're counting), using my Die-namics Banner Strip Die & Alphabet in lieu of the die cut label featured in the original sketch. I think the no-nonsense look and feel of the banner compliments the image I chose for my card, Pure Innocence-Splish Splash. I fell in love with this little PI boy the minute I laid eyes on him. He's always having such a good time with his BFF, pup. I tried to mimic a water-colored look using Copics to color the image, leaving tiny patches of open white here and there along the edges. An arteest I am not, but I'm satisfied with the outcome.
Check out Kim's blog for a list of all the girls playing along this week, and stop by the MFT Member Co. Forum over at SCS while you're uploading your sketch #8 card (keyword: MFTWSC8)! Remember, you can win some cash to spend at the MFT Boutique just for playing along!

Happy Birthday, etc...
I've got a few miscellaneous cards to share today, starting with my daughter's 18th birthday card that I made earlier this month...still hard to believe that she's "18"! This card uses stamps from My Mind's Eye (Lost & Found Market St. Adore Stamps) and PaperTrey Ink (Polka Dots II, Birthday Bash Sentiments) as well as border dies from The Cat's Pajamas (CutUps Large Scallop) and My Favorite Things (Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip).
The next two cards are variations on a theme (ah, that reminds me of my piano recital days when I was younger...once I played "Variations on a Theme by Paganini"...loved that piece & thought the name sounded so 'cool'!). Anyway, these two cards feature another TCP CutUps die, Buttons, along with PTI's Turning a New Leaf, Birthday Bash Sentiments and Tea for Two.

Lucky me, I'm home today on a snow day and hope to squeeze a little stamping time in during George's nap this afternoon!

Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch 7
Another great sketch from the My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club, and it worked perfectly with the new Die-namics Fly a Kite die which I was dying to use this week! I paired my die cut kite with a sentiment from my Die-namics Framed Greetings Stamp Set for a perfectly balanced match.

For this week's MFT WSC sketch, I went clean and simple (CAS) with single layers, simple stamping and a light touch on the embellishments. I think this sketch a la CAS is perfect for that quick birthday, thinking of you or thank you card, and I plan to use it often!

- Die-namics Banner Strip Die and Mini Alphabet Stamp Set

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch 5

Welcome to another week of My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club, Pure Innocence Ladybug in sketch #5! I've used my new Die-namics Little Open Scallop Strip and paper from MME (Fine & Dandy Tickled Pink 6x6 pad) with this week's sketch, and I'll go ahead and admit that I'm sorta thinking it all came together sweetly! I will admit that I'd like to redo the sentiment, but I really wanted to use that sentiment and it wasn't fitting anywhere else, so I called it "done" and stuck to my guns!
Check out Kim's blog for a list of everyone playing along this week, and then upload your sketchy card to SCS using keyword: MFTWSC5, easy peasy!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club: LUV U2

For this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #4 using lots of fun MFT fixin's: Die-namics Dainty Lace Doily die, Die-namics Hearts a Plenty and Die-namics Banner Strip Die & Mini Alphabet stamp set. I wanted to combine a clean vintage look with a modern sentiment for a fun eclectic feel. The sentiment comes from the final-final text of the night between my daughter, Kendra and me. Even though texting can be a bit impersonal, those "Luv U2" messages from my kiddos get me every time!
Be sure to check on Kim's blog post for everyone playing along with this week's sketch, and then remember to post YOUR sketch card to SCS using keyword: MFTWSC4. Good luck and happy stamping!

MFT WSC is gettin' sketchy!

I realize how misleading my post title might be, but never fear, it's ALL good! The weekly My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club challenge is being revamped and will now feature a weekly sketch...I know--get out! I'm really excited about this new change because I often rely on great sketch as a starting point for my cards, and now I'll have a new one each week!
I sure hope you'll play along with us and upload your sketch card to SCS using keyword: MFTWSC1. Please pop over to Kim's blog for a full list of this week's participating MFT stampers! We'd also love to see you stop in at the MFT WSC Member Company Forum found here at SCS. Here are even more details about the new changes to the WSC challenges:
My card features a fun new a la mode "Cheers", as well as a Die-namics Medium Scallop Border die. It's difficult to see in the photo, but I added lots of sparkle here and there on her dress, hair, tights and champagne glass with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen (Stardust, I believe).A new sketch will be posted each Wednesday at midnight on the MFT blog. You'll also find the sketch in the MFT forum on SCS on Wednesday morning, as well as in the weekly newsletter. Our talented Challenge and Design Teams will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started. We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2011.
Hope you can get sketchy with us this week~Amy

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club: Die-namics Challenge

Today's MFT WSC challenge is to use Die-namics as your focal point, so I chose my new Die-namics Game Night Spinner Die and Stamp Set Duo, with a few stamps from You Spin Me-Additions for Game Night as well. This fun birthday card is going to my niece, Keara, who turns "9" later this month. I incorporated her birth date, 12/28/01, into the spinner as well as the smallest snowflake from my beloved Die-namics Let It Snowflakes die.

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club: Winter Wonderland

Today's WSC theme is Winter Wonderland. I've created a wintry scene using Pure Innocence Flurry of Love, and my new Die-namics Let It Snowflakes. I have to tell you that I'm a smitten kitten with the new snowflake dies--they're just the perfect size to cluster, as you see here. I feel as if I've created this "wintry scene" over and over the past few months with other PI images, but they're so darn easy to "make a scene" with that I couldn't resist!
Check out Kim's blog at 11am EST today for a list of the MFT gals playing along, and don't forget to upload your Winter Wonderland to SCS using keyword: MFTWSC12082010 for a shot at $15 MFT bucks!

MFT WSC: Let's Dish!
Today's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club theme is all about cooking, in-the-kitchen, dish it up...you get the point, right?! I decided to create a couple of recipe holders for all those favorite Thanksgiving and Christmas recipes using plain old 3x5 recipe cards, some patterned paper, my Die-namics Framed Greetings die, buttons, twine and Who's That Girl Lovin' From the Oven!
I love how these turned out and am even more excited that I'll have these within reach to jot down all the must-have recipes for the upcoming holidays. Or...I could use them as gifts?
You'll want to see what all the other gals are cooking up for today's challenge, don't you?! Well, head on over to Kim's blog at 11am EST for the whole list of chief cook and bottle-washers. And, last but not least--use keyword: MFTWSC11102010 when uploading at SCS for your chance at $15 MFT smackeroos!
