Color Throwdown 399 - Ahoy!

It's Wednesday, and that means a new Color Throwdown Challenge starts today! I've used one of my favorite stamp sets from the Reverse Confetti June release - Seaside and coordinating Confetti Cuts - Seaside for this week's challenge card.

I stamped Seaside images in the challenge colors and then cut them out using the Confetti Cuts - Seaside dies. I used the Confetti Cuts - Wonky Scallop Border to create a wave  and then stamped a red striped border at the bottom using So Stripey.

Celebrate Summer Scoops!

My summer vacation has officially begun, and I'm kicking the week off with a bright and festive card featuring new SugarPea Designs stamps and dies just released last Friday. If you haven't checked out the release, I'd strongly encourage you to do so! Trust me on this one.

I stamped celebrate from Celebrate All The Things on the largest SugarCut – Stitched Flags with Versafine Onyx Black ink using my MISTI stamping tool and then layered a SugarCut – Summer Scoops popsicle that I stamped with the popsicle stripe stamp from the coordinating Summer Scoops set on the horizontal rather than vertically for something a little different. You know me, rule breaker! The patterned paper is from the Whatever The Weather pad, my favorite of the bunch!

Have a great Monday and thanks for stopping by today! You'll find my card along with more SugarPea Designs sweetness over a the SugarPea Designs Blog.

Sweet Peek - Gift Greetings + GC Holder

Happy Friday! Thanks for joining me today for the final day of Sweet Peek Week with SugarPea Designs. I've enjoyed sharing projects with you this week using the June Release products that are available tonight at 6pm EST. Are you ready to shop?

Today's featured products are Gift Greetings and SugarCut - Gift Card Holder. Leave a comment here and at the SugarPea Designs blog for a chance to win Gift Greetings. All winners will be announced Sunday, June 26th on the SugarPea Designs blog.

The outside of my gift card holder is clean and simple, featuring an apple cut from the SugarCut - Gift Card Holder and colored with Copics.

Here's the inside with a bit more going on, right?! I die cut another holder from white cardstock and then stamped and colored images from Teacher's Pet. I trimmed my patterned paper to fit inside the top and front flaps and then created a gift card sized insert on which I stamped notebook paper lines from Noted and a sentiment from Gift Greetings.

The thank you card measures 3.25 x 2.25, just enough room for a signature or personal note.

Thank you for all of your comments this week, I hope you've found a few ideas for all of the new goodies from SugarPea Designs. Good luck and happy shopping!

Sweet Peek - Bring On The {cheese} Cake & Wine

Welcome to day 4 of Sweet Peek Week with SugarPea Designs! Today is all about the cake, featuring two fabulous stamp sets and one die set: Sugar Cut - Birthday Journal Card, HB2U and Bring On The Cake

I decided to take a slightly different take on polka dotted cake die from Sugar Cut - Birthday Journal Card, turning it into a slab of Swiss cheese and then paired it with a red wine balloon. Get it? *wink* And, can I just say  I'm in love with the big and fancy font used in HB2U and think it works perfectly center stage on my chalkboard-like layer.

After cutting the cheese (ha, pun intended), I wrapped it up in a bit of wax paper and tied it up with twine and a fancy gold bow that I die cut using the same Sugar Cut - Birthday Journal Card die set.

For the wine-balloon, I die cut the balloon from Sugar Cut - Birthday Journal Card and then watercolored in a nice pour of red wine. I also added stamped crisscrossed streamers from Bring On The Cake on the top third of the front panel in Versamark ink.

Would you like to win the new Bring On The Cake stamp set?  Leave a comment at the SugarPea Designs blog! Winners during our June Product Release will be announced on Sunday, June 26th. Just one more day of Sweet Peek Week tomorrow, so I hope you'll stop back to for more inspiration!

Reverse Confetti - My Heart Trusts

(click HERE for my SPD Sweet Peek Week post)

I'm popping in today with a card I made using products from the latest Reverse Confetti release - Sand Dollar Confetti Cuts & My Heart Trusts stamp set.

After color washing my background I stamped the sentiment on top of it with distress ink. I then went over the sentiment with a brush of water to give it an 'ocean washed' look. After layering the Sand Dollar Confetti Cuts on top, I added 'shimmer' with a handful of scattered rain stones to go along with this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (add some shimmer).

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet Peek Week - Smitten Kitten

Welcome to Sweet Peek Week with SugarPea Designs! We're in full swing with peeks of the new products that will be available for purchase this Friday, June 24th, so if you've missed out on any of the new product posts, check in at the SugarPea Designs blog for complete information.

Today's featured set is called Smitten Kitten and it is adorable! I've combined Smitten Kitten with this week's Color Throwdown #398 Challenge as well. You'll find the full Color Throwdown lineup and links a little further down in today's post.

I started by stamping and coloring images from Smitten Kitten and then die cut them using the coordinating SugarCut - Smitten Kitten. I then combined one of the sentiments from Smitten Kitten with the SugarCut - Celebrate and SugarCut - Party Banner Duo dies to complete my kitty-birthday party. I love this adorable scene and such fun, bright colors. My cat-loving niece has a birthday coming up, and I think this one will make her smile.
