Welcome to day 4 of Sweet Peek Week with SugarPea Designs! Today is all about the cake, featuring two fabulous stamp sets and one die set: Sugar Cut - Birthday Journal Card, HB2U and Bring On The Cake.
I decided to take a slightly different take on polka dotted cake die from Sugar Cut - Birthday Journal Card, turning it into a slab of Swiss cheese and then paired it with a red wine balloon. Get it? *wink* And, can I just say I'm in love with the big and fancy font used in HB2U and think it works perfectly center stage on my chalkboard-like layer.
After cutting the cheese (ha, pun intended), I wrapped it up in a bit of wax paper and tied it up with twine and a fancy gold bow that I die cut using the same Sugar Cut - Birthday Journal Card die set.
For the wine-balloon, I die cut the balloon from Sugar Cut - Birthday Journal Card and then watercolored in a nice pour of red wine. I also added stamped crisscrossed streamers from Bring On The Cake on the top third of the front panel in Versamark ink.

Oh Amy, I love your chalkboard card and the 'hint' of streamers in the background is great. The "wine balloon" with the cheese hooked to it is so cute. I too love the large font. Yes, I could certainly 'work' this set. I'd love to win it.
