Holiday Holly Wine Charms + 20% Off

I'm popping in with a fun little crafty project for you using Reverse Confetti's Holly Confetti Cuts and glittery fun foam. Best part - this is a project the whole fam-damily can get involved in! And on top of that - there's a little sale going on at Reverse Confetti, so you can get your supplies at 20% off!

The supplies you'll need are glittery fun foam, elastic cording (usually available in the gift wrap section) and Confetti Cuts - Holly and Layered Snowflake.  Here's how you make them:

Step 1: Die cut holly and berry shapes twice, once with the glitter side up and a second time with the glitter side down, so you can adhere the two back to back.

Step 2: Adhere one berry to the leaves, flip over and adhere the leaves to the back side but NOT the second berry (yet).

Step 3: With the backside showing, push the ends of your cord into the sticky back of the berry and top with second berry. Bam, you're done.

Tip: Adhesive backed fun foam is VERY sticky, so slowly and carefully stick your die cut pieces together, because once they're stuck, they're stuck!

SPD Creative Color Challenge - Moosing You

Happy Monday! I'm popping in to share a card I made for this month's Creative Color Challenge with SugarPea Designs. I'd love to have you come on out and play along with us this month and take a chance at winning a little spending money at the SugarPea Designs store.

I don't know about you, but I just love a good moose image, and the Merry Christmoose set has it covered! I stamped the solid moose head image in the four challenge colors in totem pole-like fashion, and then added one of the sentiments from Merry Christmoose and a sprinkle of wood veneer stars (love those things!).

Here's a look at the challenge graphic, isn't that wreath gorgeous? Time to put your crafty thinking cap on and get creative with this month's Creative Color Challenge! Here are the details...

  • Create a new card or project using the colors in the CCC6. SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :).
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: CCC7 so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • Add your name and link to your project in the InLinkz at the SPD blog
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $10 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $15

Reverse Confetti - 25 Days of Christmas Tags Event

Hi all! I'm so excited to be playing along with the 5th annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags event! Reverse Confetti is today's feature, so I hope you'll take a minute to meander over to the 25 Days of Christmas Tags blog to see what the Confetti Crew has in store for you!

I'm sucker for traditional Christmas colors but opted for a neutral palette for my 'joy to the world' tag. I thought it would be fun to bring in some old school woodgrain texture in both the Winter Words 'joy' and Stitched Flag Trio fishtail flag peeking out beneath the globe base.

I decided to layer two tags for a little more sh'bang and even stamped a background on each! The top tag is stamped with So Stripey and the bottom tag with 'to the world' from Winter Word Coordinates.  In lieu of a traditional circle/globe, I opted to layer up two of the smaller Wreaths Confetti Cuts for a little unexpected fun.

I hope you've enjoyed my 25 Days of Christmas Tags and will be inspired to join in on the fun. I know I'm ready to make a few more myself after perusing the 25 Days of Christmas Tags blog posts - so inspiring!

SPD - Home for the Holidays

It's time once again for a SugarPea Designs Monthly Challenge, and this month's theme is Home for the Holidays. Come play along for your chance at a $10 gift certificate to SugarPea Designs!

I have a sweet and simple home decor project to share with you today featuring a 5x7 canvas sprayed with chalkboard paint and topped with a SugarCuts - Funky Wreath.

SPD22

While I was waiting for my canvas to dry, I stamped and die cut my Funky Wreath - All Seasons, bent up/down the individual branches and then topped it with a die cut banner on which I layered '25' to represent Christmas - December 25th. The '25' was die cut from glittery red fun foam using this month's Free with $60 - Simple Numbers. The fishtail flag is from the SugarCuts - Gift Tag set.

Come out and play along with us - it's a great opportunity to jump start you holiday crafting, even if you've already started it! More inspiration can be found at the SugarPea Designs Blog, so head on over when you're finished here. Thanks for stopping by!

SugarSketch 32 - Little Birdie

It's time for a new SugarSketch Challenge over at SugarPea Designs, and I've used the sweet little partridge in a pear tree from Everyday is Christmas as the focal point on my sketch card. I pear-ed my partridge with a sentiment from Feeling Sentimental. I'm so in love with the sentiments from Feeling Sentimental, so many possibilities!

The SugarCuts - Everyday is Christmas takes all the work out of fussy cutting and is SO handy when you want to pop your images up for added dimension. I've popped my little birdie up on a die cut circle from SugarCuts - Layered Treat Labels and then added flags using the fishtail banner from SugarCuts - Gift Tag. For a little more texture, I used the SugarCuts - Woodgrain Journal Card as the slanted rectangle layer.
