MFT Wednesday Stamp Club 152

Hi, and welcome to this week's edition of My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club featuring sketch #152! I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving celebration and are starting to think about Christmas. I forced myself to forego all Christmas decorating until after Thanksgiving even though December is knocking on the door!

I did squeak in a bit of stamping time this morning to create a very traditional Christmas card to add to my stash. This one uses Striped Backgrounds, LJD Grand Holiday Greetings and Blueprints 8. My colors are Kraft, Red Hot, Gumdrop Green and Primitive Cream.

I added a sweet little holly & ivy embellishment using Die-namics Christmas Ornaments and Gumdrop Green card stock. The red resin flower was from my stash and added a fun twist on the traditional holly & ivy.

Inside is the same layered look as the card front with the North Pole deer stamp from LLD's new set, Holiday Traditions. I can't get enough of that set, and especially the deer stamp!

Thanks so much for stopping by for a peek at this week's WSC card. You'll find more inspiration over at the MFT Blog, so be sure to pop on over there as well. Happy shopping, decorating, resting or whatever you're up to today!

MFT Creative Challenge - Home Sweet Home

Welcome to MFT's Creative Challenge post for November! This month's theme is Projects that Warm the Heart. The MFT Blog has complete details for this month's Creative Challenge along with links to all of the designers playing along.

I've always loved the symbolic heart & home and created a clean and simple card with lots of heart, quite literally, for this month's creative challenge. LJD Homespun Hearts and coordinating Rustic Hearts Die-namics were the perfect MFT products to put my idea into motion.

I created a shaped card base from Primitive Cream card stock using the Home Sweet Home Die-namics. I cut an additional house fronts in Berrylicious and Primitive Cream card stock to create my heart filled house layer before layering it on top of the house shaped card base. The Berrylicious roof line was stamped with Striped Backgrounds in Sno Cone ink.

Here is a closer look at the Rustic Hearts Die-namics in action. I die cut the heart into the Primitive Cream layer and again from Red Hot felt, nesting the felt heart into the die cut space. The heart is secured with a bit of adhesive on the back and Hemp Cord and a Natural Button on top.

Inside is a simply stamped sentiment in Chocolate Brown and matching Red Hot heart from Homespun Hearts.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope today's card has warmed your heart a little. I have a few different folks in my life who would make the perfect recipient for this card, and since it would be fairly easy to recreate, I just might have to make a stash of them. Who's warmed your heart lately?

Wednesday Stamp Club - Grateful for you!

Welcome to this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #151 with My Favorite Things! I've used this week's sketch to squeeze in a couple of Thanksgiving cards to send out to family that we won't see next week on turkey day.

I've combined sentiments from LJD Fall Foliage with my baby loves - Striped and Woodgrain Backgrounds for a clean and simple look.

I started with a Primitive Cream A2 card base and layered a Chocolate Brown Striped Backgrounds strip in Chocolate Brown ink. The Speech Bubble Frame is stamped with Woodgrain Background in Steel Blue, a sentiment from Fall Foliage in Chocolate Brown ink and an oak leaf in Tangy Orange. What a yummy color combo.

Inside is another Tangy Orange oak leaf and sentiment from Fall Foliage.

My second card uses the same colors and Fall Foliage stamps as the first card, but I changed it up a bit with an angled Tangy Orange image panel, just for fun.

The inside is again simply stamped with a Steel Blue leaf and sentiment from Fall Foliage in Chocolate Brown.

Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope my CAS cards have inspired you to send out a few Thanksgiving cards to those absent from your holiday next week. Team MFT has even more inspiration for you over at the MFT Blog, so be sure to stop there as well.

MFT Release Rewind

Welcome to Part 2 of the November Release Rewind with My Favorite Things. The Release Rewind is a chance for the MFT Team to share a few more projects focused on newly released products from the November release this past Tuesday. I'm sharing a bit more love of Warm Winter and Holiday Botanicals.

I've paired a swirly sentiment from Holiday Botanicals with my two new favorite Backgrounds - Woodgrain and Striped, in a traditional holiday color scheme.

Inside is more of the traditional red and green with another of the sentiments from Holiday Botanicals in Steel Blue ink. The Woodgrain Background is stamped in Electric Red ink on Red Hot cardstock, and the Striped Background is stamped in Gumdrop Green ink on Sour Apple Cardstock.

Second up is the sweet new Pure Innocence Warm Winter in non-traditional holiday colors - Tangy Orange, Sno Cone and Steel Blue. I used both sides of the snowflake stamps from Holiday Traditions to create the background Snow Drifts layer.

Inside is a Natural Pierced Tag STAX flanked with a Sno Cone Fishtail Flag on which I stamped a sentiment from Warm Winter. Tangy Orange Let It Snowflake Die-namics accent the tag.

Thank you for taking a minute to check on my Release Rewind projects. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog where you'll find links to everyone playing along today - lots of good stuff!
