Teaser Time Day 6 - Enjoy the Journey

Well, we're in the home stretch, folks, only one more sleep until the new release over at My Favorite Things! Have you been keeping up with Teaser Time week here and over at MFT Blog-land? I sure hope so because the powers that be at MFT are giving away some seriously generous prizes along with full product reveals and links to the gals participating in each day's festivities! You don't want to miss.

I'm going seaside on you again today with another nautical themed card because I just can't get enough of the anchor from the Die-namics World Traveler set! World Traveler is one of today's teaser products, along with Laina Lamb Design Enjoy the Journey, Sending Thanks, Hit the Road and Mona's awesome Brick Wall Stencil.

My original plan for the Steel Blue panel was to apply my pallet wall art technique which would have turned out really cool if I'd have remembered to stamp the Western Backgrounds wood grain/barn board stamp before I'd cut the panel into strips. Don't ask. Anywhoo, this is my second run at it leaving the panel intact with the Western Backgrounds wood grain stamped in Steel Blue ink, and I reallly like it! I still achieved the look I wanted, and it was really simple to create!

Sentiments from Enjoy the Journey were stamped in Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink on top of the wood grain background, and the coverage of the new MFT pigment inks is just phenomenal, providing nice, even coverage! I shaped 'enjoy the' into a semi-circle to fit the curve of the Nightshift Blue anchor and give the panel a bit of movement. The World Traveler anchor is tied with a bit of hemp cord. And, below the sentiment is a 'trim board', if you will, in my new favorite Fuse Green card stock.

I've carried the Fuse Green and Nightshift Blue accent colors inside as well as the Steel Blue wood grain layer on which is stamped a sentiment from Life's Direction in Sweet Tooth.

Thanks for tuning in today, and I hope you've enjoyed my nautical teaser (sound naughty, doesn't it?!). I'll be back with one final teaser tomorrow, and I promise, it's not 'naughty'!

I love this card any thing nautical floats my boat (pun totally intended). That steel blue ink is great and I love how the white pigment ink gives such great coverage. I've been very disappointed by white inks in the past.

I love the background too, it's like sun faded wood. I love those little travel accent dies, nautical is always fun. The front reminds me of a boat shop plaque. Love how you curved the stamps to frame the anchor. The extra touches on the inside are so cool.
