Color Throwdown 397 - You Lift Me Up

Welcome to this week's Color Throwdown Challenge! I'm teaming up this week's color palette with the adorable Reverse Confetti set Lift Me Up.

I started by creating a kraft layer that I stamped with So Stripey in natural ink and then layered on a Leafy Confetti Cuts for that adorable giraffe from Lift Me Up to munch. I wanted to keep things clean and simple, so I stamped a sentiment directly onto the kraft layer and tucked one final branch behind it.

Remember to use keyword CTD397 if you upload to a public gallery and #colorthrowdown and #ctd397 on social media so we can see your sweet work! You'll also want to link up at the Color Throwdown Blog as well. Now, for more inspiration, here's this week's lineup!

Reverse Confetti June SFYTT

Happy weekend! It's time for a new Sketch For You To Try, so come on out and play along for a chance to win free product from Reverse Confetti.

My card features Fabulous Flamingos wading in a pool of water that I created with a bit of ink blending, sequins and vellum wave cut with Wonky Scallop Border Confetti Cuts. I also used Fabulous Flamingos stamps and  coordinating Confetti Cuts, a sentiment from  Lift Me Up, and fancy party hats using the shell from Mermaid Wishes Confetti Cuts.

Reverse Confetti June Release Hop

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti new release blog hop! The entire hop lineup is listed toward the end of my post, so be sure to check it out. I'm so excited to share one last card from this release with you featuring Mermaid Kisses and Scalloped Tag Layer Confetti Cuts, a mini match made in heaven!  I'm also using this week's Color Throwdown palette - pink, purple and peach.

I stamped all of the Mermaid Kisses images onto watercolor paper and then colored them with Zig markers. I also used my spankin' new Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor set to add a mini dots of gold here and there and to fill in the starfish. After everything dried, I cut each out with the Mermaid Kisses Confetti Cuts and started assembling my scene using the Scalloped Tag Layer Confetti Cuts as the backdrop. It was a therapeutic morning session of stamping and coloring with this adorable new set!

Check out the entire blog hop lineup below and enjoy the fun and inspiration! I can't wait to see more of this release in action. Thank you once again for taking time to leave comments here this week - I so enjoy reading each of them. Happy hopping and shopping!

Countdown to Confetti - You Are My Hero

It's Day 3 of Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti, just one day away from the June release! I have enjoyed reading all of your sweet comments and hope you'll take a minute to leave another today for a chance at one of two Reverse Confetti gift certificates being given away. An additional gift certificate is being given away to one lucky Reverse Confetti Facebook commenter, so leave a little love there as well!

Today's card features a trendy new cover panel named Sunburst and a patriotic stamp set that you will love - Because of the Brave. I'm also incorporating Seeing Stars Confetti Cuts - your one stop shop for stars in all shapes and sizes!

I decided that the 'you are my hero' sentiment from Because of the Brave would make a perfect Father's Day card, so I've combined it with a die cut 'dad' (and pocket) from Tie-Rific Confetti Cuts, and it matches perfectly with the font used on 'hero' - cool, right?!

The tag is from In the Bag Confetti Cuts, and I trimmed it down so that it would fit neatly inside the pocket. Here's a quick look at how I used foam tape to make a 'stop' for tag.

Here's a look at the tag tucked inside the pocket. Did you happen to notice that sweet twine?! It too will be available tomorrow along with the June release, and it's called Firecracker - love it!

Thank you all for stopping by today! Remember to check the list of designers sharing projects using today's featured products, listed in full at the Reverse Confetti blog. I can't wait to see what they've all made for today, it's been like Christmas for the eyes this week!

Countdown to Confetti - My Heart Trusts

It's Day 2 of Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti! Make sure you don't miss out on all the inspiration by checking in daily at the Reverse Confetti blog where you'll find direct links to all designers playing along with each day's featured products.

Today's featured stamp set is another beautiful faith-based set called My Heart Trusts, and I've combined it with my most favorite anchor from Seaside, another must-have set from the June release available on the 8th (this Wednesday).

I combined a sentiment from My Heart Trusts with the Seaside anchor and Quick Card Panels - By The Sea. I die cut an opening using Detailed Circles Confetti Cuts to create a shaker over the stamped images. I also used the Wonky Double Edge Scallop Border Confetti Cuts to create a vellum 'wave'.

Head on over to the Reverse Confetti blog for complete release details along with links to all designers playing along with today's Countdown to Confetti products. Before you go, leave a little love in the comment section for a chance to win one of two $15 gift certificates to Reverse Confetti. Leave another comment on the Reverse Confetti Facebook page for chance at another gift certificate!

SugarPea Designs - Whatever The Weather

Happy Monday! I'm popping in with a SugarPea Designs card featuring my favorite set from the April release - Whatever The Weather. You can check in at the SugarPea Designs blog for more inspiration from the rest of the Monday crew HERE.

I stamped and (clear) embossed the striped cloud from Whatever The Weather on the Chatterbox Journal Card as well as the sentiment below and then layered die cut raindrops, cloud and a striped umbrella using the coordinating SugarCuts - Whatever The Weather.  Endless possibilities with this stamp set and dies!

Thank you for stopping by today! I sure hope you're not under the weather, but if you are, I hope today's card cheered you up a bit!
