SPD Sweet Peek - Barn To Be Wild & Best of Cluck

I am giddy about the SugarPea Designs Fall Product Release and know you will be, too! We're kicking off Sweet Peek Week with adorable farm themed sets and  coordinating paper collection that you're going to fall in love with.

Aren't these Barn To Be Wild critters adorable?! And take a peek at the Countryside Charm patterned paper that I've trimmed with SugarCuts - Stitched Flags dies.

I started by stamping all of my images on watercolor paper in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. Next I grabbed a handful of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, dabbed bits of color on each image and then moved the color around in a loose watercolor fashion with an Aquash water brush. Once dried, I trimmed them out with their coordinating SugarCuts - Barn To Be Wild die. They make me happy and I have a gazillion ideas in my head for this set because there are so many punny sentiments included in it as well.

I colored and assembled my second card similarly to the one above using Best of Cluck and the SugarCuts - Chatterbox Journal Card die as my scene layer. I also snuck in that cutie sun from SugarCuts - Whatever The Weather. The chicken wire patterned paper from the Countryside Charm Patterned Paper Collection.

Well, what do you think so far? The Countryside Charm Patterned Paper Collection is getting me in the moo'd for Fall, that's for sure, and all of those farm fresh cuties - I'm in love. Be sure to stop back tomorrow for more Fall goodness and leave a little comment here and at the SPD blog for a chance to win Barn To Be Wild. Complete details can be found at the SPD blog. Thanks for stopping by!

Color Throwdown #306 + Right At Home

Hello Wednesday and welcome to a new Color Throwdown Challenge featuring a yummy palette of pink, orange and green. The blooms from Right at Home Stamps - Let Love Grow in pink and orange remind of one of my summer favorites - Zinnias. But here's the weird deal - I buy a package of Zinnia seeds every year and never end up planting them. Thank goodness my mom does so I can enjoy hers.

Here's a look at the official color palette...oh my yum!

So when I do finally plant my Zinnia seeds, I'm going to plant them in a big black pot, just like this one. The stamps in this set have endless possibilities and great sentiments to mix and match as well. Simply sweet.

SSS: Let's Go Wild!

I haven't played along with a Simon Says Stamp Challenge in awhile, so I checked in on this week's Wednesday Challenge and decided to get a little wild and crazy. Well, not really, but I did use some wild birds (sorta) in some wild colors, also known as crazy rainbow colors *wink*.

Card number one is a that wild and crazy toucan from the newly released Reverse Confetti set - Toucan of Friendship

After coloring mr. toucan with Copics, I added an embossed ring around him using Detailed Circles Confetti Cuts and a heat embossed sentiment and a few enamel dots.

My second card features this adorable flock of birdies from Your Next Stamp called Tweet News.

Since I had my crazy rainbow Copic colors out, I decided to color these cuties as well and then used the coordinating die to cut them out - easy peasy, and it gives such a nice bit of dimension to the card without adding too much bulk. I again added my favorite YNS Gumdrops - they're the best enamel dots, and YNS has such a great selection.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Happy Friday!

Reverse Confetti August SFYTT

It's time for my August Sketch For You To Try - yeah! Wait, that means I only have another week or so before I have to head back to that salt mine. I know, poor me, right?! While we've had a great summer, I will be counting on my beloved morning coffee to give me a little pep talk, just like today's card, so I think I'll just hang this card from my rear-view mirror on day one of inservice.

Coffee And You is just one of seven stamp sets and 12 new Confetti Cuts now available from the August release this past Monday. Have you shopped the release yet? If not, you'll definitely want to take a look. I stamped, Copic colored and die cut the images from Coffee And You using the coordinating Coffee And You Confetti Cuts and then assembled them in a cute little scene on the layers of the sketch. Make sure you check out the product graphics below for more detailed information.

YNS Celebration + Color Throwdown #405

Hi all! It's a busy day on the blog today as I'm guesting with Your Next Stamp for their Design Team Dare: Celebration and gearing up with Color Throwdown Challenge #405

I decided to combine the two challenges using a newly released stamp set and die combo from Your Next Stamp called Happy Birthday YNS 2016. It's a fun set filled with every balloon pattern imaginable in addition to big and bold sentiments!

I'm particular to the stripes, of course, but I tried to use most of the patterns to give my clean and simple card a little pizazz and then added sparkly clear YNS Gumdrops.

I hope you'll make a little time to play along with both of these challenges this week, and I'll be looking for you on both the Color Throwdown blog and the YNS blog. By the way, you'll be eligible to win a YNS stamp set of your choice by playing along with the YNS Celebration Challenge with full details HERE.

Before I go, I'd like to thank YOU for spending a little of your day here to see what I've been up to and to Your Next Stamp for having me as a special guest this month. It's always so much fun to play with YNS stamps and dies (and have I mentioned how much I love their Gumdrops?!).

CASology Guest Designer

I'm so excited to have been chosen to guest along with the amazing team at CASology! This week's CASology cue card is 'dizzy', how do you like that one?! I put my dizzy thinking cap on and came up with a sweet little get well spinner card featuring stamps and dies and from Your Next Stamp.

To create my spinner, I sandwiched white thread between two of the whale die cuts from Island Fun and then secured each end of the thread behind the circle opening of the card front. I also added a vellum 'wave', a sentiment from Sea Creature Sentiments and my new favorite White Sugar and Sparkle Gumdrops

I hope you have a chance to get dizzy with this week's CASology Cue Card Challenge!

Reverse Confetti August Release Blog Hop

Happy Monday! We are hopping along for the Reverse Confetti August release NOW available! If you're still undecided or looking for more ideas to stash away for your new purchases, check out the complete blog hop lineup listed below!

I'm absolutely smitten with Cute As A Button and the coordinating Onesie Confetti Cuts. I simply white embossed the sentiment, swiped a Zig Clean Color Brush Marker over it and then washed over the color with a watercolor brush and water.

I've used the stand alone sentiment to create a sweet little Tag Me Confetti Cuts tag that I layered onto an A2 card base and then framed with one of the All Framed Up Confetti Cuts frames.  Sweet and simple.

Thank you so much for stopping by during Countdown to Confetti, all of your sweet comments and the time you took to leave them. I can't wait to see what you decided you couldn't live without this release - happy shopping and crafting!
