Reverse Confetti March Release Hop

Hi all, and welcome to the Reverse Confetti March Release Blog Hop! I don't know about you, but I love this release from top to bottom. All four stamp sets, six Confetti Cuts and the limited edition So Very Spring Quick Card Panels are absolutely fun and easy to work with. Have you shopped yet, or are you on the fence? I've got two cards to share with you today to inspire you a bit more.

With St. Patty's Day knocking on our door, I decided to make a card for the occasion using a combo of Whole Lotta Happy and Happy Confetti Cuts panel. My brain literally hurts from thinking about the infinite possibilities that this stamp set and die provide. Crazy.

I stamped Whole Lotta Dots on green cardstock and then die cut it with Happy. I then die cut just the word 'happy' from glitter gold fun foam and placed the letters inside the green layer and then added an embossed sentiment flag and a sliver of one of the So Very Spring QCP.

My second card uses Flowers For Mom Confetti Cuts as a sunflower (squee). I used the rest of the So Very Spring QCP and layered my sunflower on top, along with a couple of clouds to give the illusion of a jack-in-the-beanstalk tall sunflower ('cause they are very, very tall, you know). ;-)

Another sentiment from Whole Lotta Happy fit perfectly inside the flower center. I just love the font and the pierced detail of the circle. It's the little things!

Thank you for your sweet comments during Countdown to Confetti! I always love hearing what you think of the new products. Now it's time to hop along and see what the rest of the Confetti Crew and 'Fetti Friend--Nina Marie Trapini have for us.  You can click directly to all new products HERE and on each of the product graphics below. Have a great day and happy hopping!

SPD - Heard You're Egg-specting

*Click HERE for my Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti post*

Happy Monday, all! I'm posting with the SugarPea Designs Monday team all month long and have a punny little card to share that also features Freshly Made Sketches #226.

The white embossed sentiment is from Feeling Sentimental, and that glittery gold egg is SugarCuts - Egg-a-licious. I think the combo is to-the-point, cute and pretty hilarious. How about you?

Thanks for stopping by and have a great Monday!

Countdown to Confetti - Rose Garden

Welcome to the final day of Countdown to Confetti! Today's featured set is Rose Garden. It's fresh, clean and a dream to stamp. It also comes with a coordinating Confetti Cuts to make life a little easier for you. Remember to leave comments here and at the Reverse Confetti Facebook page for chances to win two $15 gift certificates being given away. My card today also follows the current Freshly Made Sketches #226.

Rose Garden comes with solid and outline rose and leaves stamps, giving you plenty of options. I used the largest outline rose for my black/white background and one of the solid rose stamps for my layered focal point. I added a bit of  detail to the rose and petals with Copic markers.  The 'mom' die cut is from Confetti Cuts -  Flowers For Mom. Before die cutting 'mom', I sponged bright green ink onto watercolor paper in ombre fashion to match the shades of green in the leaves.

I sure have loved reading your comments over the past few days and hope you've enjoyed my Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti posts as much as I have. This is such a fun release that will take you right into spring and summer, so I hope you've found lots of inspiration for your new goodies. See you tomorrow for the new release blog hop!

Countdown to Confetti - Butterfly Dreams

It's day 2 of Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti and I hope you're enjoying all of the sneak peeks of this release - it's a keeper, that's for sure! Visit the Reverse Confetti blog for a full list of designers sneak peeking today as well as full graphics and more inspiration from Jen. All new products will be available at Reverse Confetti on March 8th, whoot whoot!

Butterflies and watercolor, what's not to love! I combined the two along with a bit of camouflage die-cutting using two of the smaller dies in the Confetti Cuts - Butterfly Dreams.

I started by brushing distress inks onto watercolor paper, overlapping each of the colors just a bit. Then I added a bit more of each color using a piece of acetate, smooshing more ink here and there. Once that dried, I stamped one of the beautiful sentiment filled butterflies from Butterfly Dreams using my MISTI tool to get solid coverage.

Reverse Confetti is giving a $15 gift certificate to one lucky commenter, so leave a little love in the comment section before you leave today. Another gift certificate will be given away by commenting at the Reverse Confetti Facebook page as well. Stop back tomorrow for one last day of sneak peeks.

Countdown to Confetti - Unicorn Wishes

Hi there! Welcome to day 1 of Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti. You are going to flip when you see the cutest unicorn set ever. Seriously...ever. Confession: I've never been a big fan of unicorns until I laid eyes on this one and immediately changed my unicorn perspective! Unicorn Wishes, along with 7 Confetti Cuts, 4 stamp sets and Quick Card Panels will be available on March 8th.

I colored my unicorn following Agnes' unicorn in Despicable Me, I mean who couldn't love Agnes and her unicorn, right? I also added as much sparkle to her mane and alicorn (I guess that's what the horn is called - I learn so much from my stamping research) as humanly possible.

The starry night sky background was created by first blending dye inks onto watercolor paper (purple, fuschia and blueberry) with a sponge dauber and then flicking water onto it with a paintbrush. I also spattered white paint and dotted here and there with Ranger Enamel Accents (white). Then I die cut a few stars from Confetti Cuts - Unicorn Wishes and glittery clouds from Weather It Together to add to my scene. Finally, I stamped stars and a sentiment from Unicorn Wishes.

Reverse Confetti is giving up a $15 gift certificate to one lucky commenter, so leave a little love in the comment section before you leave today. Another gift certificate will be given away by commenting at the Reverse Confetti Facebook page as well. Good luck!

SugarPea Designs Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Happy Friday & Happy Birthday SugarPea Designs!

SugarPea Designs is turning 2 and what better way to kick off the weekend than with a birthday bash blog hop! And what's a party without gifts? This time the gifts are going out to you all, so please read all the fine print and check in at the SugarPea Designs blog for complete details because there are some pretty swanky party gifts to be had.

Seaside Wishes | Stitched Flags | Welcome Baby Accents | Simple Numbers

My favorite SugarCuts die is the onesie from Welcome Baby Accents, and I used it to create a personalized tutu for the birthday bash. The tutu portion is pink tissue paper die cut with the fishtail flag from SugarCuts - Gift TagI cut through about 4 layers of tissue paper, three times, which gave me plenty of tutu layers to work with. After separating the layers, I trimmed them down and began adhering them in place, one layer at a time on both front and back sides of the onesie. It really didn't take much time, and I only used about half (or less) of them. After the glue dried, I added some piercing at the top of skirt to finish it before adding a glittery '2' from SugarCuts - Simple Numbers and stars from Scattered Stars Journal Card.

Here's the nitty-gritty on the birthday bash that you'll definitely want to read - all 4 points!

Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge Guest Designer

I'm thrilled to be this week's guest designer for the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Key Lime! To find out how you can have a shot as the guest designer for this week's challenge, stop over at the Curtain Challenge blog for complete details as well as some swanky inspiration from the Curtain Challenge Crew. I'm guessing it's going to be one delicious feast for the eyes this week.

http://curtaincallchallenge.blogspot.com/
I knew I wanted to incorporate the shades of green and something fluffy-like to channel that frosting. I just caught myself drooling (again), how about you?!

I made the background layer by scribbling green lines with a Zig marker and then washing over them with water and a paint brush. Once that dried, I added a die cut sentiment that I popped up on fun foam cut from the same die (there's my fluffy element, he he). The white embossed sentiment underneath is Reverse Confetti's  Fancy Word Coordinates. I love the lowercase lettering and the size of these sentiments, perfect for mixing with the Lovey Words Confetti Cuts.  I finished up with a trio of faux enamel dots created with Ranger Enamel Accents Dimensional Glaze (oh my goodness that stuff rocks).

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you'll find time to play along with this week's Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge - Key Lime, and I'll be watching the link up at the Curtain Call blog for your yummy creations!

Hugs,
Amy
