Freshly Made Sketches #331

I'm popping in with a quick post featuring a quick and easy CAS card using this week's Freshly Made Sketches #331 and Reverse Confetti's brand new stamp set, My Sunshine.

I usually stamp my images first and then die cut them, but this time I opted to go in reverse. There are definite 'markings' on each of the My Sunshine pieces that make it easy to line up the stamps and die cuts. For instance, you can see where one of the rays has a slight indentation, so you can simply line that up with the indentation on the coordinating stamp and stamp away.

Triple Challenge!

Happy Thursday! I've got a sweet, simple card for you today featuring Reverse Confetti's Seaside stamp set (one of my favorites) that I've combined with three current challenges from  The Card Concept // CASology // Freshly Made Sketches

To create ocean waves I die cut a layer of Cloud White cardstock with the Wonky Double Edge Scallop Border and then color washed purple ink on it. I then stamped and die cut the Seaside octopus using the Seaside Confetti Cuts and tied him up with hemp cord. I then added a sentiment from Fancy Words Coordinates because I thought it was sort of punny when combined with the octopus. ;-)

Take a look at the inspiration pieces from the challenges below and let me know what you think of my interpretation. Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Freshly Made Sketches #265

Happy Thursday, all! I couldn't resist this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge and put my stash of Confetti Cuts 'extras' to work on this week's sketch.

http://freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com/2016/11/freshly-made-sketches-265-sketch-by.html

I started with two felt trees from Merry Christmoose, added a whimsy Wreaths Confetti Cuts and topped it with a woodgrain peace from Winter Words Confetti Cuts. I don't know what I'll do when I run out of my beloved wood veneer stars, they're just the perfect complement to the trees and woodgrain sentiment.

I hope you get a chance to play along with FMS #265. Why not challenge yourself to dig into your stash and see what you come up with? Thanks for stopping by to see me, enjoy your day!

Holiday {thank you} Gift Card Holders

I've got a pair of gift card holders for you today using my go-to gift card giving supplies from Reverse Confetti - Holly & Gift Card Holder Tag Confetti Cuts. My fun and functional cards also qualify for this week's Color Throwdown #373 and Freshly Made Sketches #217.

I made two of these to give to our school maintenance guys (or as we called them back in my day - janitors) with gift cards to their favorite 'spot' (wink). I thought the So Stripey diagonal stripe in black on gray cardstock gave these a little masculine touch.

Here's a closer look at mr. green. I sure hope you're not tiring of the Holly Confetti Cuts...me neither!

And mr. red ain't bad, either. I just love that I can whip up a few of these in about 15 minutes and adds a handmade touch to gift card giving.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you're finding some help and inspiration for your gift giving/wrapping needs!

FMS - merry christmas tree

I'm a day late and a dollar short, but I love Freshly Made Sketches #214 and just had to give it a crafty whirl after seeing Amy's adorable cards yesterday.

I love the simplicity of the FMS and kept my card clean and simple as well. The stamped sentiment and snowflakes are from Jolly Holiday and the die cut layers include Wonky Double Edge Scallop Border and Branch Out Confetti Cuts.

I decided to sprinkle in a few wood veneer stars to go with the woodgrain tree.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Countdown to Confetti - Day 1

I am so excited to be joining in on my first official Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti! You are going to melt when you see the cuteness overload on today's featured stamp set, Too Cute to Spook, aack! A few details - we have 3 days of sneak peeks for you (September 5-7) so be sure to set your alarm and come back to see me and the Confetti Crew each day.

Too cute to spook, right?

There's also a coordinating Too Cute to Spook Confetti Cuts to take care of any fussing cutting, and it also makes scene building a breeze! My scene just happens to be based on the current Freshly Made Sketches with a watercolor backdrop. I used watercoloring on all of the Too Cute to Spook images as well.

I'm not a big fan of spiders in general, but I'd take this little guy home in a heart beat! Sorry for all the gushing, but I love. him. (or her)

New products will be available on September 8th. Don't miss out on a chance to win a RC Gift Certificate - details can be found at the Reverse Confetti Blog along with more inspiration!

Freshly Made Sketches 200 + Winner!

Reverse Confetti is sponsoring over at Freshly Made Sketches 200th sketch celebration, and I'm playing along with a sweet summer color palette and a fun combo of Reverse Confetti stamps and dies!

I just can't put down the Circle Garland Confetti Cuts die these days! I went with a single strand today as it seemed appropriate with the sorta graphic feel of the rest of the card.

I hope you'll take time to play along with the sketch! You'll find more inspiration at the FSM Blog along with full details on the challenge.
