YNS New Year's Hop

Welcome to the YNS New Year's New Release Hop! It's not just the start of a New Year, it's also Angel's birthday today, so we have lots to celebrate! We're happy to help you continue celebrating the start of 2014 with more NEW digital stamps by Penny & Laurence of Omnia Designs. We are so excited to have you join us as we showcase our new images along with some of Angel's special guests!

The party begins on Angel's blog and guess what?!  We'll be giving away 10 digis from ALL of the blog comments! Winners will be announced on January 4th on the YNS Blog. Happy Hopping!

I'm using an adorable YNS digital image called Little Bear Holding Bouquet.  I think this image is perfect for a variety of wishes - get well, Valentine's Day, congrats or a simple hello. I've printed Little Bear Holding Bouquet onto Kraft card stock and then added a word processed sentiment, fishtail banner and die-cut heart from Whatnot Seasons Set One.

Please follow the links shown above to see where you'll land next on today's YNS hop, and thanks for stopping by today!

YNS Mini Release: Whatnots Onesies

Welcome to the YNS Mini Release for December! I have lots of photos to share with you, so grab a cuppa and settle in! My project for the hop uses the new YNS die set called Whatnots Seasons Set One.

I came up with an original sentiment for each onesie, typed it into my Silhouette onesie file, printed them out and then ran it through the Silhouette to cut each out individually. I was able to get 4 per 8.5x11 sheet.  Each onesie features a single cut die from the Whatnots Seasons One Set, popped up on a dimensional for a little extra oomph, with the exception of the snowflake.

love you

never 'leaf' me

LUCKY

oh, man!

what's shakin'?

brr!

UR my 'sunshine'

Whew, that's a lot of laundry, eh?! Wait, there's more! Karen (as always) has some great deals going on over at the YNS Store, so be sure to stop there and check.it.out. You'll find complete details at the YNS Blog, but for now, hop along to Jen's blog for something wonderful to fill your senses!

Happy Wednesday!

YNS New Release Hop

Welcome to the YNS New Release Blog Hop! You may have hopped here from Veronica's blog where you were treated to some fabulous goodies, I'm sure! When you're done here, you'll hop on over to Susan's blog for fun chatter and fabby eye candy! Refer to the hop order and links at the bottom of the post.

I am not kidding you when I say that you are definitely going to go bonkers over this release, so without further chatter, I'm going to show you something I made using Celebrate the Season -- a fun, whimsical set featuring traditional Christmas cookie images and coordinating sentiments. I've used two of the images on the apron pocket and on the recipe card itself. Other goodies on my 'baking apron' include a die cut evergreen tree from the newly released Your Next Die Tree Trio, buttons, sewing and fishtail banners.
The fonts used on the recipe card are Learning Curve and Courier New, and I think they compliment the vintage feel of the Authentique Festive 6x6 papers perfectly, giving that old fashioned country Christmas look I was aiming for with this apron. I think it could easily sit on a mini easel in the corner of your kitchen, holding those beloved family recipes that are reserved for the holidays. Call me sappy sentimental!

Be sure to check out the YNS Blog for all of the fantastic deals Karen has going on at the YNS Store and don't forget to visit and comment on each of the DT blogs for your chance to win prizes!

YNS Blog Hop {Howdy, Nathan}!

Welcome to the tippy top of this month's YNS New Release Blog Hop. I guar-an-tee you'll find many things from this release that you can't.live.without! Let's get started with an addition to the World Kids Collection: Nathan from the USA! You can always measure my love of an image when it shows up on one of my Bingo boards, and this Nathan fella is no exception to my {image + love = Bingo board} rule!

I wanted to add some fun southwest type icons, so I went to my handy Silhouette online store and came up with the patterned papers you see here, 'HOWDY' and the cow skull. The fence behind Nathan was made from a strip of burlap with fibers removed here and there until it resembled a rickety old fence. Can't forget about those darling stars scattered all around--Your Next Die Stars, a nested set available today as well as the sentiment you see from another new set, Heartfelt Sentiments.

From here you'll hop right on over to my good buddy Susan's blog where you'll be certainly treated to something real nice...as always! Before you go, I want to give you a 'wrap up' of all the hop details and deals, and don't forget to leave us a little love in the comment section to win:
  • The hop will run from today, until Monday, September 10th at midnight (EST).
  • There are 3 New Release Prize Packages hidden throughout the hop, so make sure you leave comments for your chance to win!  Winners will be announced on the Your Next Stamp Blog on Tuesday, September 11th.
  • Karen is also offering some amazing Hop Specials!  There are several Bundle Deals, PLUS you get 15% off your order (Sept. 6-10) by using online code Sept15OFF!  Make sure you take advantage of these great deals!

First up is Happy Fishy Wishes, a fun little birthday card I made using Happy Days Mermaid quite some time ago...one of my first encounters with YNS, so I thought it would be fun to share it (again) on the anniversary of YNS's 3rd birthday!

Next up is a fun little camping notebook I put together using papers from My Mind's Eye (Miss Caroline 6x6) and the newly released set, The Great Outdoors!

Are you ready for one more? It's another handmade notebook, but this time it's a reading journal to coincide with the adorable new set, Ellie Loves to Read!

YNS New Release Blog Hop

Welcome to the Your Next Stamp (YNS) blog hop to celebrate the release of 4 new sets by Jenny Suchin Designs. Lucky me gets to share Special Delivery, an adorable set to welcome baby with an iconic baby elephant that I've fallen trunk over tail for. I showed a peek of this set on Sunday, and I loved the cute little onesie card so much that I've made two more--one for baby girl and one for baby boy. Let's call them Ellie and Elliot, just for fun! You may have hopped here from Jenny's blog and if so, you're on the right track, so let's get started.

I started with card bases created with my Silhouette using a cut file from the Silhouette store and Authentique Blissful Collection papers. The elephant image was then paper pieced onto the stamped card base with embellishments added to fancy up each of the cards.

Seam binding and an acrylic rose for Ellie, buttons tied with linen thread for Elliot. Finally, each of the card bases was pierced around the perimeter for a faux sewn look. The stamping here was pretty darn simple, but the combination of patterned papers, embellishments and paper pieced images gives each a sweet, homespun look.

Before I send you hopping to Jen del Muro, who is certain to have something adorable on which to feast your eyes, I'll leave you with some great YNS blog hop and shop details:
  • Blog Hop Starts: Wednesday, January 11th at 3:00AM (EST)
  • Blog Hop Ends: Monday, January 16th at midnight (EST)
  • Hop Prize – Stamp set of choice from the New Jenny Design sets – comment on all the YNS DT blogs for your best chance at winning; winner to be posted on the YNS blog January 17th
  • Hop Specials – 15% off entire order – online code is YNSJAN2012
Thanks for hopping by, and good luck!

YNSC #57 New Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to our YNS blog hop celebrating the release of new stamps and dies: Holiday Snow Globe Set, Fancy Frame Die and stamps, Crisscross Die and stamp, and 3 single stamps, one of which includes a fabby new Your Next Die! I've used Holiday Snow Globe for my project today: gift tags!  I'd recently seen recycled newspaper gift wrap, liked the look and decided to pair it up with an adorable YNS Holiday Snow Globe gift tag.

Here's a closeup of my very simple Copic colored tag, tied with silver cording and 2 simple jingle bells.

Another tag option that could be easily mass produced. Each of the tags shown here are stamped with to/from on the back (included in this awesome set), but I forgot to take a photo of it, so you'll just have to trust me-- it's just darling!

If you started at the top of the hop and are working your way through, you hopped here from Jen's blog, and from here you'll hop on over to Wendy's blog. BE CERTAIN to go to the YNS blog for entire hop details because there are PRIZES involved, people!!

YNS Challenge #51 & Blog Hop!

Hi, and welcome to the YNS (Your Next Stamp) Challenge #51 and Blog Hop to celebrate our September stamp release! You may have hopped here from my good buddy, Carole's blog. She's a tough act to follow, but I'll do my best here, but I'm not even going to attempt to match her wit, so let's talk about the challenge and the hop! The September Release stamps are all about Halloween and Fall (well, most of them!) and the challenge is to paper piece.

I decided to do some ghosty paper piecing using the uber cute ghost from Spooktacular! The ghost and sentiment are from the same stinkin' cute set, and I paper pieced Pink Paislee Phantom paper over my vellum ghosts, punching out the eyes with my Cropadile tool for added ghosty fun.

I have to say they look pretty spooky in real life...cute spooky that is!  I took some liberties with my fence die, cutting each of the posts apart to achieve that Halloween Night-spooky fence look. After piecing it just so, I added brads here and there, and then tied it up with linen thread.

Now the FUN part...blog hop details (and good ones they are!):
Blog Hop Starts: Wednesday, September 14th at 3:00AM (EST)
Blog Hop Ends:Saturday, September 17th at midnight
Prize: Selection of new release stamps (see picture below)
Store Promotion: Special stamp bundles plus a free YNS stamp (YNS choice) included for every $30 spent – spend $30 get 1 free stamp, $60 get 2 free stamps, $90 get 3 free stamps etc…

Here's the prize package!

Now it's time for you to hop along to your final stop on the hop, Karen's blog!
