It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another sketch for the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club. You will find links to participating designers and the original sketch at the MFT blog, so stop over there if you haven't been already!
I'm seriously NOT ready to go back to work yet, but somehow the sketch turned my thoughts to the Red Delicious Die-namics apple and everything else fell into place: the Notebook Paper Die-namics stamped with the notebook lines from For the Record in Sno Cone ink and the Say What Die-namics speech bubble stamped with a sentiment from Big Greetings in Black Licorice ink. I'm thinking this card would start off the school year on the right foot!
Dressing up that Red Hot apple for the first day of school, I also used my Chalk Builder Frame Die-namics tethered together with washi tape to cut my Red Delicious apple into strips for a clean and simple pallet look. I used the same technique in last week's WSC card seen here.
Inside is another Notebook Die-namics stamped with Banana Split stars from Bitty Banners and Sno Cone lines from For the Record, and a Red Hot Fishtail Flag stamped with an accompanying sentiment from Big Greetings in Black Licorice ink.
Making today's card got me thinking about people who have had a lasting impact on my life. For me, it was the piano teacher I had from 2nd grade until I graduated from high school, and I've been thinking about her quite a lot this week...thinking I should send this card her way. So, who's impacted your life in the positive? Thanks for stopping over today, I enjoyed our visit!
