Thanks for stopping by for Day 1 of the Release Countdown with My Favorite Things!
Tonight at 10pm EST
you'll have full access to all of the products we've been tempting and
teasing you with this past week. You can find
complete
details at the MFT Blog along with information on how to win an MFT voucher to put toward your wishlist!
No offense, but I couldn't throw away an opportunity to take a punny turn on on the adorable new Cute Critters fox, he he.
I wanted foxy to pop up and away from the Negative Dot Alpha letters, so I first die cut him from Primitive White card stock using the Cute Critters Die-namics and then stamped the coordinating Cute Critters fox in Black Licorice Hybrid Ink.
Then I added a bit of shadow here and there with a Copic marker (W1) and paper pieced the Tangy Orange areas. For a bit of added fun, I first stamped my Tangy Orange card stock with the new Fine Check Background stamp watermark ink.
Inside is a single acorn stamp in Tangy Orange ink, also from Cute Critters, leaving plenty of room for a handwritten note.
That wraps up my Release Countdown posts, which means we are
only hours away from MFT's new release! I'll
have more inspiration for you tonight during the New Product Launch, so
stop back and see me. Thanks for your sweet comments this past week, I
enjoy them - every one!

Release Countdown Day 3
Welcome to Day 3 of Release Countdown with My Favorite Things, I'm so glad you're here! Be sure to check out the full reveals of all of today's featured products on the MFT Blog, but before you do that, I have a card to share with you featuring Pinking Edge Rectangle STAX.
The Pinking Edge Rectangles remind me of fabric scraps, so I added a bit of Burlap Background and made myself a faux linen fabric swatch on which I partially embroidered 'grateful' from Thankful Thoughts.
And that's Day 3 of Release Countdown Week with My Favorite Things. Two more days of peeks, are you ready with your list?! Thanks for stopping and we'll see you back tomorrow.

Release Countdown products will be available Tuesday, September 16th at 10pm EST.

Tangy Orange blossoms from Fresh Cut Flowers anchor my floaty thread. I love them topped with decorative Tangy Orange buttons.
Inside is a matching 'grateful' die cut using the coordinating Words of Gratitude Die-namics with another Fresh Cut Flowers bloom.

Release Countdown Day 4 - Stencils
New stencils in the house - Diagonal Bars and Scattered Bars! I used to be a little scared of stencils until I forced myself to just keep trying them, and now I find myself reaching for them whenever I want to add a little extra something, especially backgrounds. Keep on scrolling to see how I've used them in two different ways for two different looks.
My first card shows the Diagonal Bars Stencil used to dry emboss the Lemon Drop Fishtail Flag.
I also embossed falling leaves in the background using the lovely new (and must have) Die-namics Falling Leaves. Burlap Background stamp was used on the Tangy Orange strips to add a bit of autumn texture.
Inside is a sentiment from Words of Gratitude, another die cut leaf and the reverse impressions of the dry embossed leaves on the card front (I love the both versions).
My second card used Scattered Bars Stencil with white embossing paste. I just love the texture of the embossing paste.
A single leaf centers the embossed layer which has been popped up with foam adhesive for extra dimension. If you haven't tried embossing paste with your stencils yet, I highly recommend it, but be careful - it's addictive!
Inside, a stand alone sentiment from Out on a Limb in Sweet Tooth ink.
Remember to check out all of the new product highlights at the MFT Blog and leave comments for your chance at a $75 gift voucher from MFT. I'll see you tomorrow!
