Color Throwdown 424

Happy New Year and welcome to the inaugural Color Throwdown Challenge of 2017! I just happen to be this week's hostess and would love to have you play along with us. This week's colors are black, hot pink and green. These are generic colors, so just use whatever you have in your stash, and feel free to add in neutrals as you wish. Complete details can be found over at the CTD blog HERE

I used two Reverse Confetti stamp sets to create my card - Crushin' and Mouse Mail and think they were really made for each other! After coloring the cute mouse images with Zig markers on Reverse Confetti's Cloud White cardstock, I created a subway style background with the sentiments from Crushin'. I then trimmed and mounted the Cloud White layer onto an green A2 card base and topped it off with hot pink enamel dots. And just like that I have my first Valentine's Day card on the 2017 books!

Time to head on over to the Color Throwdown blog if you haven't been there yet. There's more than enough eye candy inspiration to sweeten up your day. Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Birthday

Happy Friday, all!

My beautiful niece had a birthday this week, so I'm sharing the card I made for her using new goodies from Reverse Confetti. I'm also linking up with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes!

I started by embossing the gold portions of the You're So sentiment on a Cloud White card base and then color washed a light pink over it. I then added a swirl of gold thread topped with the coordinating You're So Confetti Cuts 'beatufiul' and a trio of wood veneer stars. I love the contrast of the wood and gold.

CASology cue card: toast

What color do you prefer your toasty in the morning - slightly lightly brown, deep toasty brown or plain ol' burnt toasty? I prefer mine just like my sweet little deer above - nice and toasty brown. I'm playing along with the current CASology cue card | toast and decided to take a more literal spin on it...sorta.

I adore coloring the Dawn Machell images from Reverse Confetti, and this little deer from Jolly Holiday is right up there on the Nice List. I colored him with Zig markers, giving him a sweet pink nose and soft grey scarf before popping him up on the new Bar Tag Layer Confetti Cuts tag. I layered it on a scrap of my favorite patterned paper from Fright Night to pull in that soft grey and clipped it together with a pink clothespin. Soft, sweet and simple!

I hope you're enjoying this holiday season in the way in which you enjoy it most.
Thanks for sharing a bit of your day with me.

Reverse Confetti December SFYTT

Happy Thursday! Is your week flying by, too? I'm popping in with a quick post to share my December Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) card using Christmas Blessings from Reverse Confetti.

I happened to have the large red Wreaths die cut lying on my desk and thought the Christmas Blessings sentiment paired nicely since the wreath design looks like connected hearts (to me).
I'm hoping you can squeeze in a bit of stamping time to play along with this month's sketch. It's a great way to get another Christmas card finished.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Holly Jolly Color Throwdown

Welcome to the final Color Throwdown Challenge of 2016. This week's colors are vibrant and festive, a great way to end the year with a bang! I'm so grateful to be a part of this challenge team - they're so full of fun and inspiration.

red | fuchsia | lime green

I've used the adorable S'more Love penguins from Reverse Confetti along with the Holly Jolly Tag Layer Confetti Cuts for my card. I'm so in love with this color combo and it totally reminds me of my Confetti Crew teammate, Jeanne's colorful creations.

Check out the links below for some great inspiration from the CTD team as well as our December guests. Remember to use keyword CTD423 on public galleries and #ctd423 and #colorthrowdown on social media sites so we can see your beautiful creations.
