Countdown to Confetti - Day 3

It's Day 3 of Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti. Tomorrow is release day and we'll be sharing more fun and inspiration in the form of a blog hop, so be sure to stop back for more inspiration before you start shopping!

Ok, let's talk about today's featured stamps and dies which feature the uber sweet illustrations of Dawn Machell (need I say more?)! There are three new sets along with coordinating Confetti Cuts - Coffee and You, Toucan of Friendship and Worm Wishes.

I did a bit of loose watercoloring on the images of Toucan of Friendship and then cut them out using Toucan of Friendship Confetti Cuts. Then I had a little too much fun setting my scene on the new Big Stripes Tag Layer.

Next up is Worm Wishes, just in time for the start of a new school year, along with a really cool new ABC Cover Panel - perfect for anything kids and school related!

This time I Copic colored Worm Wishes images, die cut them with the coordinating Worm Wishes Confetti Cuts and messy-layered them on the ABC Cover Panel for a fun burst of color against the white background.

Your Next Stamp 7th Birthday Blog Hop

Hi all, I'm thrilled to be hopping along with the crew at Your Next Stamp for their August release and 7th Birthday Bash! You'll definitely want to check out the complete hop order shown below as well as the Your Next Stamp blog for complete prize and sale details!

I had the opportunity to work with an absolutely fun and adorable stamp set called Tweet News - the sweetest birds on a wire complete with a flock of cute and punny sentiments. I'd seen the coolest card using this rainbow watercolor look and knew I had to try and recreate it with the Tweet News birdies. 

I started by stamping and embossing the birds using Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear embossing powder on watercolor paper. Then I simply scribbled a rainbow of color over each using Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and washed the colors into each other with an aquabrush. Once dry, I stamped and embossed the sentiment in the same fashion as the bird image.

Countdown to Confetti - Day 2

Welcome to the Day 2 of Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti. The full release will be available for purchase on August 8th and there's double to love this time around. Today I'm sharing cards made with In A Jam, Jam Jar Confetti Cuts and Forever In Our Hearts.

I layered my cherry sweet jam jar on the x-stitched frame from All Stitched Up Confetti Cuts because I thought it was the perfect homespun look.

After stamping the jam jar label with my MISTI stamping tool, I trimmed it with the coordinating Jam Jar Confetti Cuts die as well as the jar itself and the lid trim. Finally, I tied a bit of cord and fastened it up with a matching button.

Forever In Our Hearts is a beautiful stamp set designed to send thoughtful encouragement to those experiencing pain or loss. I find this sentiment so encouraging and immediately thought to pair it with the Sunburst Cover Panel. After watercoloring the background colors, I die cut it with the Sunburst Cover Panel and then adhered the negative space pieces on my card base.

I stamped the sentiment on vellum in Versafine Onyx Black ink and then clear embossed it. I then trimmed the vellum close to the sentiment and wrapped it across the front, securing it with adhesive on the backside.

Countdown to Confetti - Day 1

Welcome to the first day of Countdown to Confetti with Reverse Confetti. Hold onto your hats, because we've got a double release going which means double the fun and cuteness! The full release will be available for purchase on August 8th, so get your pencil and paper ready to start making your list!

There's a new coffee mug in town called Just Brew It, and it's just fabulous (yes, size matters)! I added 'coffee rings' to my card base by dipping an actual coffee mug in diluted brown dye ink and then 'stamping' it randomly on the kraft card base (I did a bit of experimenting on a scrap first).

I paired up the hero mug with another new Confetti Cuts - Circle Band and layered it up using Detailed Circles Confetti Cuts and Seeing Stars Confetti Cuts as a nod to my personal favorite, Captain America! I can't wait to use this idea for a birthday card in the near future.

That's not all, how about an adorable onesie stamp set and coordinating Onesie Confetti Cuts? Introducing - Cute As A Button!  

I've framed up a trio of onesies using another new Confetti Cuts - All Framed Up. I love that you can use the onesie die all on it's own to create 'custom' onesies as I did on the So Stripey version in the center, or simply stamp one of the images from Cute As A Button and then trim it out with the Onesie Confetti Cuts.

CAS(E) this Sketch + Right at Home

Happy Monday! I hope you all enjoyed a beautiful weekend as we did here in Wisconsin and are ready for your week ahead. I'm starting off August (can you believe it's August?!) with a clean and simple card featuring the current CAS(E) sketch challenge and lovely stamps from Right at Home. 

I started by stamping a trio of beets using stamps from Let Love Grow and then layered sentiments from Script Greetings. A bit of ink spattering finished off this one layer card, all ready to go postal! I've got a few generous friends with prolific gardens this year, so I really should've stamped a handful of these.

Here's a look at the CAS(E) sketch and plenty of time to play along before the challenge closes on Thursday. Also, Right at Home just celebrated a new release in conjunction with their one year anniversary, so check out the new products there as well!
