Color Throwdown 392 + May SFYTT

Happy Wednesday, all! I have a double duty card for you today featuring Reverse Confetti's May Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) and this week's Color Throwdown #392 challenge. 

I inked up a butterfly from Reverse Confetti's Butterfly Dreams in the gorgeous blue and then accented it with the other colors on the layers of the sketch.

I like to have nice clean edges on my layers, so I used a couple Confetti Cuts to get the job done - Gift Card Holder Tag (rounded rectangle) and Stitched Flag Trio (verticle grey and blue layers).

Reverse Confetti May Release Hop

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti new release blog hop! The entire hop lineup is listed toward the end of my post, so be sure to check it out. I'm so excited to share one last card from this release with you featuring Confetti Cuts Falling Confetti & Boxes 'n Balloons and Celebrations. Very appropriate for Reverse Confetti's 3rd Birthday, I think!

 

The bottom of my card is filled with Confetti Cuts - Falling Confetti cut from gold glitter foam with balloons from Confetti Cuts - Boxes 'n Balloons floating above.

 

I die cut a few more of the Falling Confetti to place here and there as you see on the black balloons. I love the combination of these sentiments from Celebrations!

Countdown to Confetti + Inspired By Guest Artist

I am doubly excited to share today's post featuring more of the Reverse Confetti Countdown to Confetti AND that I'm this week's Guest Artist for Inspired By All The Little Things!

Today's card features Boxes 'n Balloons stamp set and coordinating Confetti Cuts dies.

 I love the soft blue and striking red combo of the challenge inspiration photo.

Besides the color combo, I wanted the feeling that my party balloon was floating in the air, like those cute red airplanes. I couldn't help but add a couple of the new Linked Garland Confetti Cuts as well.

SugarPea Designs - Sweet2Repeat Blog Hop

I didn't get my fill of the adorable Quackers duckies from the April release and had to ink them up again, setting the scene on my new favorite SugarCuts - Chatterbox Journal Card. After water coloring a full A2 panel, I die cut it with the SugarCuts - Chatterbox Journal Card and then popped it up using another journal card die cut from SugarPuff Foam for that fun camouflage die-cut technique, letting the 'water' spill over onto the card front.

Reverse Confetti - Introducing Lift Me Up

Are you ready to party?! I hope so, because Reverse Confetti is turning 3, and we're throwing a big ol' party in conjunction with the May release, kicking off with an absolutely adorable giraffe birthday set by Dawn Machell. Serious cute, folks!

Introducing Lift Me Up. I know, adorable! After watercoloring my images with Zig markers, I started working my scene using Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts for my grassy edges, Leafy Confetti Cuts, and Weather It Together Confetti Cuts clouds. Did you notice something else new? Reverse Confetti has the best garland dies and is adding to its arsenal this month with Linked Garland (see graphic below). 

 And those birds! They make me happy. Ü

Something to Smile About!

I sure do have something to SMILE about and share with you today - I am joining the Color Throwdown Team! I was beyond thrilled (and honored) to be asked to join this great group of sweet and talented friends and am hoping you'll enjoy my weekly CTD posts as much as me. 

This week's color combo is just delicious and had me thinking of summer, especially since we've had a few nice, sunny days in Wisconsin this week! I pulled out Happy and Smiles from Simon Says Stamp that I'd never laid ink on and put together a happy little scene inside my favorite SugarPea Designs SugarCuts - Chatterbox Journal Card.

Those sunglasses crack me up, and I love the fine line sentiment to go with mr. sun. I just happened to have one of my SugarCuts - Whatever The Weather clouds just lying around on my work table and decided it would make a fun embellishment along with a little washi and enamel dots.
