Happy July 4th, everyone! Hope you're enjoying a day of celebration and relaxation today as you scroll through blog land peeking at all of the Release Countdown posts. The MFT Blog has complete details and full reveals of featured products each day and great videos to boot, so be sure to check in there.
Today I'm featuring another of the Blueprints 17 chalkboard easels in the form of a cork bulletin board, like we had way back when...in the '70's!
I've gussied up my bulletin board for the 4th of July holiday using not only Blueprints 17, but a great new Balloon STAX Die-namics and a sentiment from Birthday Chalkboard Greetings.
I used Bright Lights Alphabet Die-namics to spell out USA on my Balloon Die-namics and strung them together with Hemp Cord.
The sentiment is from Birthday Chalkboard Greetings and is stamped on top of Striped Background on a Fishtail Flag. Finally, the stars are a combination of dies from Blueprints 17 and Stacking Stars in Red Hot, Nightshift Blue and Primitive White to match the rest of the board.
I'll sign off so we can get on with the celebrating, but promise you'll stop back tomorrow for more countdown fun!

Release Countdown Day 6 - DIY Paper Pumpkin Cupcake Stand
Here's a fun Halloween twist on the adorbs Sweet Birthday Wishes stamp set. This cupcake wielding sweetheart is channeling her inner Elphaba today with her green skin and all.
She's opted for a big ol' cupcake instead of her usual hat and broomstick and borrowed a pair of glasses from her girlfriend You're Super for the occasion.
Inside is a Pinking Edge Circle with a sentiment from Sweet Birthday Wishes with matching Fishtail Flags peeking out below.
Now for a little more on the Cupcake Stand and paper pumpkin made from the Balloon STAX. The pumpkin is made from 8 of the largest round Balloon STAX with about 1/2" cut from the tail side of the balloon to create a flat edge on which the pumpkin rests. From there, stamp with the Confetti and Diagonal Stripes Background stamps; score each in half and adhere them back to back.
Embellish with Layered Leaves and a Formal Flourish and set on top of a Black Licorice Cupcake Stand. You'll find a fantastic video available at MFT with step by step directions for the Cupcake Stand HERE.
If you have any questions about any of today's projects, please let me know, I'd be happy to answer your questions. I hope you've enjoyed Day 6 of Release Countdown Week and have plans to stop back tomorrow for a 4th of July treat!

MFT Release Countdown - Day 7
Hi, and welcome to an exciting week of Release Countdown posts as we count down the days to the next release at My Favorite Things! Visit the MFT Blog for complete details of today's Release Countdown.
This month's release is all about celebrating and birthdays, and I'm featuring Blueprints 17 along with stamps from Birthday Chalkboard Greetings and Celebrate You.
Blueprints 17 has everything you need to create a custom sandwich board style chalkboard using your favorite color combos, stamps and embellishments. I chose a bright and cheery palette of Razzle Berry, Lemon Drop and Blu Raspberry.
My sign-board is stamped with Striped Background and topped with a sentiment from Birthday Chalkboard Greetings and a Blu Raspberry star included in Blueprints 17. The die cut star fits perfectly over the stamped star - love how MFT coordinates their stamps and dies!
Inside is a Blu Raspberry banner and a stamp from Celebrate You with plenty of space left open for a hand written note.
My next card uses the same color palette with a more masculine twist. Did you notice the great woodgrain detail on the sign boards?! Love.
I again used Striped Background with Lemon Drop Hybrid Ink and topped it with a sentiment from Birthday Chalkboard Greetings and die cut elements from Blueprints 17. Just for some fun movement, I twisted up the banner in Hemp Cord and combined the stars from Blueprints 17 with a larger star from Stacking Stars.
Celebrate You comes complete with birthday sentiments, gifts and bow stamps for custom gift design. I took advantage of that and stamped a fun gift inside to coordinate with the colors on the card front.
I hope you've enjoyed the first peeks at the new products set to be released on Tuesday, July 8th! There is more fun and celebration to come, so be sure to stop back here each day as well as the MFT Blog for complete release details.
