Color Throwdown 416 - No Peeking!

Welcome to this week's Color Throwdown Challenge! I've enlisted the help of my favorite moose from Merry Christmoose along with a few other Confetti Cuts from Reverse Confetti for this week's challenge.

I started by coloring the moose with Zig markers and then wrapped him in a Brick red scarf before layering him on No Peeking Tag cut from Reverse Confetti's new Brick cardstock. I then added peach cardstock stripes behind the tag layer stripe openings, a kraft Hangups, Too Confetii Cuts and a single Aqua snowflake from Snowflake Trio Confetti Cuts.

Happy Fall-idays: Merry Christmoose!

Happy Fall-idays, everyone! Today marks the final day of Reverse Confetti's annual Happy Fall-idays, a three day event featuring one of kind projects made by the Confetti Crew showcasing ideas for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas to get your mojo flowing.

I am so excited to share my Fall-idays Christmas project with you today. I don't know about you, but I'm head over heels for mr. moose from Merry Christmoose and wanted to let him know just how much I love him.

I used Merry Christmoose Confetti Cuts to die cut the tree and moose, cutting the moose from both tan and brown felt.  I trimmed the tan moose down to his snout and blanket stitched it in place. I then used a straight stitch for his mouth and french knots for his eyes, nostrils and bum.

I then got to work setting my scene on a piece of canvas type material I had in my stash, stitching the tree first, snow drift second and finally, mr. moose using straight stitches. I hand trimmed a tiny red scarf and cross-stitched it in place along with a single jingle bell. Finally, I stitched in a trio of free-hand snowflakes and placed it inside the double hoop. I think this will make a sweet little piece of home decor that can hang around all winter long.

Let's see what the rest of the Confetti Crew has for us today!

Happy Fall-idays: Thanksgiving

Hi, friends! Welcome to day 2 of Reverse Confetti's Happy Fall-idays event. Yesterday's theme was Halloween and today is Thanksgiving. Can you guess what's coming at your tomorrow?

For my Thanksgiving theme project, I mass produced 'thankful for you' gift card holders in this week's Color Throwdown #415 challenge colors - sage green, red, brown and cream. These gift card holders will be going out to staff members at my school in the maintenance and kitchen departments this week.

I found a super quick and easy tutorial that called for a 2-3/4 by 11 inch piece of cardstock, trimmed at one end and scored at 3-1/2 inches and 7-1/2 inches from the opposite end. I used the Edgers Confetti Cuts to trim the end which you see above.

I then used the coordinating slit die from the Edgers Confetti Cuts to create a slit in which I tucked the point.

Here's a look at the entire holder unfolded. You can see that the gift card fits perfectly, and I was able to get 3 holders from one sheet of 8-1/2 x 11 inch piece of cardstock.

I embellished the front with Happy Harvest acorns along with Wheat Confetti Cuts. The Brick acorn caps are dry embossed with the Pointed Out Stencil for a extra texture.

SPD Sweet Peek Week - For You Tag

Welcome to the final day of Sweet Peek Week with SugarPea Designs. Are you ready to shop? Today's featured products are For You Tag and Beautiful Bauble and are perfect for creating one of a kind ornaments and gift tags.

I die cut the layers of the For You Tag with white cardstock (base), Happy Holiday patterned paper (stripe layer) and black cardstock ('for you'), and then layered them on the largest of the SugarCut - Stitched Flags. I combined the For You Tag bow and holly from Beautiful Bauble to tie it all together.

Thank you for hanging in with me during Sweet Peek Week for SugarPea Designs Holiday Release! I hope you have some ideas tucked away and are ready to shop, shop, shop! I'll be looking for your fabulous designs on social media.

SPD Sweet Peek Week - O Christmas Tree

Sweet Peek Week continues at SugarPea Designs, and I'm so happy you stopped by today to share in the excitement! Today's featured set, O Christmas Tree, is full of possibilities for your upcoming Christmas card making marathons.
I decided to go with a minimal natural look with my card, but you could easily glam this set up as well. Just think of the endless Christmas tree styles and themes you see in stores and on the web when it comes to decorating your tree -  wide open!

The sentiment is also from O Christmas Tree, and I really like the mixture of fonts used.

If you'd like a chance to win O Christmas Tree, leave a comment before you head out. Increase your chances by leaving comments at the other design team blogs as well as the SugarPea Designs blog. I hope to see you back tomorrow for one last peek before it's time to shop!

Sweet Peek Week + Color Throwdown

Today is a sugary sweet peek day with SugarPea Designs as we continue with Sweet Peek Week. All new products will be available this Friday. There are also daily giveaways, so be sure to leave a little comment here and at the other design team blogs to increase your chances of winning. Complete details can be found at the SugarPea Designs blog

Today's card is also using this week's Color Throwdown Challenge palette, so I hope you'll check out the challenge which I'm hosting this week. Below are direct links to each of the CTD team blogs.

I colored the gingerbread house from GingerSnaps with Zig markers and then trimmed it with the coordinating SugarCut - GingerSnaps die. Then I had a bit of fun adding details with a white gel pen, shimmer pen and Crystal Accents, although it's not showing up in the picture. Below my layered image is a sentiment from Season's Greetings.

Thank you for sharing a bit of your sweet day with me. Come back tomorrow as we continue Sweet Peek Week!
