CASology Challenge - Prickly

Hi, all! I'm so excited to be playing along with the team over at CASology for this week's challenge themed PRICKLY. Of course I had to go with something in the succulent family and chose Lawn Fawn's Stuck On You. The sentiment is Script Greetings from Right At Home. I couldn't resist doing a bit of stamp surgery to change 'deserve' to 'desert' to create the punny sentiment.

CASology Diamond | CAS(E) this Sketch

Hi, folks! I'm popping in with a card that I made for the current CAS(E) this Sketch and CASology challenges. Click on the challenge graphics below for more information on each.

The CASology cue card is diamonds, so I used two of Reverse Confetti's Tall Triangles Confetti Cuts to create a diamond shape on which I layered the Wild Words Confetti Cuts *dream*. I also used a strip of Free Spirit paper featuring a diamond pattern. I love both of these challenges as they feed by CAS style and challenge me at the same time.

Casology Cue Card | Grow

Hello, friends! I'm popping in on a rainy Thursday with a card for this week's CASology Challenge. This week's theme is grow, so I've used some blooms from Reverse Confetti's Whole Lotta Thanks set along with my favorite Globe Confetti Cuts to create a Secretary's Day card. Our school secretaries are the best in the biz - bar none! They not only keeping things humming at our school but also helping our students learn and grow every day!

Triple Challenge!

Happy Thursday! I've got a sweet, simple card for you today featuring Reverse Confetti's Seaside stamp set (one of my favorites) that I've combined with three current challenges from  The Card Concept // CASology // Freshly Made Sketches. 

To create ocean waves I die cut a layer of Cloud White cardstock with the Wonky Double Edge Scallop Border and then color washed purple ink on it. I then stamped and die cut the Seaside octopus using the Seaside Confetti Cuts and tied him up with hemp cord. I then added a sentiment from Fancy Words Coordinates because I thought it was sort of punny when combined with the octopus. ;-)

CASology cue card: toast

What color do you prefer your toasty in the morning - slightly lightly brown, deep toasty brown or plain ol' burnt toasty? I prefer mine just like my sweet little deer above - nice and toasty brown. I'm playing along with the current CASology cue card | toast and decided to take a more literal spin on it...sorta.

I adore coloring the Dawn Machell images from Reverse Confetti, and this little deer from Jolly Holiday is right up there on the Nice List. I colored him with Zig markers, giving him a sweet pink nose and soft grey scarf before popping him up on the new Bar Tag Layer Confetti Cuts tag. I layered it on a scrap of my favorite patterned paper from Fright Night to pull in that soft grey and clipped it together with a pink clothespin. Soft, sweet and simple!

CASology Guest Designer

I'm so excited to have been chosen to guest along with the amazing team at CASology! This week's CASology cue card is 'dizzy', how do you like that one?! I put my dizzy thinking cap on and came up with a sweet little get well spinner card featuring stamps and dies and from Your Next Stamp.

To create my spinner, I sandwiched white thread between two of the whale die cuts from Island Fun and then secured each end of the thread behind the circle opening of the card front. I also added a vellum 'wave', a sentiment from Sea Creature Sentiments and my new favorite White Sugar and Sparkle Gumdrops.

CASology: Journey

Happy Friday, all! I hope you have fun things in store for the weekend. We're actually heading to Madison today for a visit with my oldest son, so today's card is very appropriate for the occasion as my entry for the current CASology cue card | Journey. 

I couldn't dig out my Reverse Confetti Seaside Confetti Cuts anchor die fast enough upon seeing the challenge and paired it perfectly with a sentiment from My World. I'm in love with this combo, and every time I read 'adventure awaits' I can't help but think of the movie Up...best love story ever!

Ship Happens

Happy Monday! I'm popping in with a card for my Mondays with SugarPea Designs in tandem with SugarSketch 44 and CASology cue card: Laugh. I'm always up for a punny card, so I had to chime in on this one!

 

 I just happen to think the angled layer of SugarSketch 44 sorta looks like a sail and decided to do a little 'stamp surgery' to create a punny sentiment using stamps from  Espresso Yourself to forge ahead with my nautical theme.

 

 I also used my favorite anchor stamp from Anchored and stamped it on cork that I die cut with the largest circle from Layered Treat Label. Speaking of punny things, I just die every time I think of Kmart's Ship My Pants commercial! Just watch it, you'll thank me...I promise.
