TCP Tuesday 210

Better late than never, right?! I had this card all stamped up and out the door last week and honestly forgot to blog about it until today. Before you know it, TCP Tuesday 211 will be here, so I'd better get on with the show! This week's challenge is a sketch and I have to say I took a few liberties with the sketch. You can see the sketch over at Amy's blog, our new sketch challenge hostess!

Details on the card include a fun mix of CutUps dies: Big Scallop and Circus Panels, along with a sentiment from Bearing Flowers.

Thanks for stopping by today!

YNS Fun Friday: Suspension Card

I've got a fun card for YNS Fun Friday (yep, one day early this week to make way for Carole's Creative Commotion tomorrow) using the a suspension technique. Click HERE for a tutorial over at Splitcoast (SCS).
My card would have been perfect for Cinco de Mayo, no?! If I would have been on the ball, I would have posted it last weekend but that's just not how I've been rockin' and rollin' these days, so put the Celebrate set on your list and pick it up for a fun kid birthday card and then you'll have it for next year on Cinco de Mayo!

Head on over to the YNS blog for more fantastic Fun Friday samples and have a great Thursday!

TCP Tuesday 209: Dad's Day

I've got a fun card to share with you today that fits-the-bill for the men in your life as well as this week's TCP Tuesday Challenge #209 issued by Susan to use the CutUps Pennant Die and anything TCP having to do with the Letter M! Sorry folks, I couldn't resist using the CutUps Mustache Die once again...just couldn't resist.

The knot portion of the necktie is actually the Small Pennant Die in disguise with the bottom portion being hand cut for a nice custom fit! The CutUps Mustache Die tops off the trio.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card which used the CutUps Big Ticket & Mustache Dies in conjunction with The Mustache Set, Nightie & Babydoll Alphas, and Admit One.

I hope I've inspired you to get a start on your Father's Day cards, and if you don't have these fun stamps and CutUps in your possession, you have paw-lenty (get it, 'paw'?!) of time to get them before Father's Day! Now, head over to Susan's and Alma's blog for more TCP Tuesday fun!

TCP Tuesday 208

This week's TCP Tuesday challenge is a color challenge: lime green, red and gold, in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Let's grad a red solo cup and get the weekend in gear, eh?! Before we do that, let's have a little fun with these colors, in the form of a red mustache no less! I made this card for Secretary's Day this week and gave it to one of our dear school secretaries who is endlessly obliging me with answers to all of my silly-nilly questions. Without a doubt, she knows everything! Ok, about the card...it uses my new favorite TCP set, The Mustache Set and my new favorite CutUps die, Mustache!

Check out Lori's blog for all of the TCP Tuesday details and then stop over at Alma's blog, too, for more TCP Tuesday info and such. Have a great weekend!

TCP New Release Projects

I've got a couple projects to share with you from the new release at The Cat's Pajamas this week, a card and one of my signature Bingo boards. Before we get to the Bingo card, we'll start with a nice, red door.

The door was created using the new CutUps Window die and topped off with 3 more Cutups: Sunflower Rosette , Easy Rosettes, and  Circus Panels. Red + sunflowers = happy!

A detail of the sentiment flag trio and CutUps Large Scallop & Wave dies in action.

Man, I love these bunnies! Two new bunny sets this release--Aye, Aye Captain & Wish.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek today. I 'mustache' you to stop back soon for more mustache-y fun!

TCP Tuesday + New Release Blog Hop

Welcome! You may have hopped here from Susan's blog, and I'm so glad to have you here. Lots of fun stuff going on today, including our weekly TCP Tuesday challenge in conjunction with a blog hop featuring just-released stamps and CutUps dies from The Cat's Pajamas! Julie is this week's challenge hostess, so she's at the top of the lineup if you'd like to start there. Julie also has the challenge details laid out for us as well: hand made flowers with an emphasis on the CutUps dies.

I've always, always loved May Day! I have great memories of picking May flowers and leaving them on the doorstep of a loved one, most often times my Grandma Ione, who always enjoyed them. I usually just knocked on her door and handed her the bouquet I'd picked, but I also remember making May Day baskets at school, especially the version using strips of construction paper woven together. I'm guessing I love this 'holiday' as much as I do because it actually marks the beginning of my 'birthday month', wink! Enough about me though, let me introduce you to my 2012 May Day cone featuring a few CutUps dies: Easy Rosette, Heart Border, Pom Pom Flower and Lacey Butterfly.

This side view shows the new CutUps Pom Pom Flower die in action. I actually cut a small circle in the side of the cone and then cuts slits to widen the circle and allow the stem of the flower through so that it would be flush with the side of the cone (clear as mud?). You can also see the new CutUps Heart Border as well. Each of the side flowers is draped with a combination of Dove & Ivory Seam Binding and Beige Linen Thread.

The front view shows off the Easy Rosette in black topped with the Lacey Butterfly and a sentiment from the new set, Bloom. I searched and searched for the perfectly easy cone template and ended up having the best luck cutting out a cone with my Silhouette Cameo and a file from the Silhouette Online Store.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and I'll be more than happy to answer them as best as I can! Now, the show must go on, so hop on over to Christine's place for something sure-to-please!

Thanks for stoppin' and hoppin'!

Sneaky Peek Week Day 7

We're almost there, kiddos, on the heels of The Cat's Pajamas upcoming release! We'll kick off the new release with a Pajama Party at Splitcoast starting tonight at 8pm EST. While I'm on the subject of Splitcoast, take a minute to stop over at the TCP forum to add your comment in the In It To Win It thread for a chance to win today's Sneaky Peek set, Quality Time.

Speaking of Quality Time, here's what I've come up with using this adorable set designed by Alma and fellow Cat Packer, Carole.

I pieced together all of George and Ed's favorite things from the This & That Charming 6x6 pad from Echo Park and then layered a horizontal strip die cut with the new CutUps Mustache Slide, threaded with Olive Seam Binding, also from The Cat's Pajamas.

Before I sign off, I must send you to Alma's blog for a complete list of today's Sneaky Peeks and show you the entire Quality Time set.
