MFT Release Countdown - December Memories

Welcome to the MFT Release Countdown with My Favorite Things!  Tomorrow is the big day when all of the new products will be for sale - Tuesday, November 12th at 10pm EST.  Is your list ready?!

 

Last year I created a cover for our 2012 Christmas card bundle (seen HERE) and decided to get a jump start this year creating a cover set using a few of today's featured products from Laina Lamb Design including: Document It - Holiday Traditions, Accent It - Holiday Traditions Elements Die-namics, and Accent It - December Memories Die-namics. They're absolutely PERFECT for this project.

I started with two pieces of scrap corrugated cardboard that I die cut with the jumbo tag from Blueprints 9. Following this week's WSC Sketch #149, I layered Razzle Berry and Red Hot card stocks, accenting with Little Numbers Die-namics to mark the year.  My love affair with Woodgrain Background continues here with the Red Hot layer and looks so stunning against the Primitive White Accent It - December Memories die cuts.

This side view gives a little peek inside where I've added an extra page using elements from Blueprints 9 to create a pocket for any little extras I might want to hold on to. The book rings open easily and provide a slick way to bundle all of those holiday cards.

The Blu Raspberry pocket is stamped with Striped Backgrounds and embellished with mini Sour Apple scallops, a Razzle Berry Fishtail Flag stamped with Woodgrain Background and an official seal of approval  from Document It - Holiday Traditions in Olive ink. The coordinating Accent It - Holiday Traditions Elements pinked edge circle adds such a crisp clean finish to the seal. And now I'm ready for those holiday cards to start pouring in!
