SugarPea Designs Sweet Sneaks - Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of Sweet Sneaks with the gang at SugarPea Designs! If you visit here often you probably know I have a bit of an affection for anything nautical, especially anchors. Today's featured set, Anchored, has a sweet little anchor stamp which I've used as the focal point on today's card. Be sure to take a peek at the entire set below because there's much, much more to love!

I used the largest Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles dies to trim the watercolor background panel and again for the small rectangular opening. The watercolor background was created using Ranger Distress Inks, water and paintbrush.

The sentiment and anchor are both embossed in gold with a length of ivory cord intertwined between the two with a trio of enamel dots finalizing the embellishments.

  12. I love this watery card, Amy! I grew up near a local lake and we swam every single day during the Summer. The blue and green on your card is perfect. Love the anchor in the rectangular window with the twine swirling around. It's perfect. You have great style that looks simple, but I know better than that. ;) Thanks, Paulette S.

  14. As a 'layers' girl, I cant tell you how much I LOVE your card!!! What a striking balance of the stark white cardstock to the swirls of luscious blues and greens ... just dreamy! The anchor is such an incredible focal point and draws the eye right to the details of the hemp cord, too - swoon - love love this! ♥
