Release Countdown Day 6 - DIY Paper Pumpkin Cupcake Stand

Welcome to Day 6 of the Release Countdown with My Favorite Things. We're counting down the days until all of these hot new products can be YOURS next Tuesday, July 8th at 10pm EST. You'll find complete details at the MFT Blog along with information on how to win an MFT voucher to put toward your wishlist and full reveals of featured products.

Here's a fun Halloween twist on the adorbs Sweet Birthday Wishes stamp set. This cupcake wielding sweetheart is channeling her inner Elphaba today with her green skin and all.

She's opted for a big ol' cupcake instead of her usual hat and broomstick and borrowed a pair of glasses from her girlfriend You're Super for the occasion.

Inside is a Pinking Edge Circle with a sentiment from Sweet Birthday Wishes with matching Fishtail Flags peeking out below.

Now for a little more on the Cupcake Stand and paper pumpkin made from the Balloon STAX. The pumpkin is made from 8 of the largest round Balloon STAX with about 1/2" cut from the tail side of the balloon to create a flat edge on which the pumpkin rests. From there, stamp with the Confetti and Diagonal Stripes Background stamps; score each in half and adhere them back to back.

Embellish with Layered Leaves and a Formal Flourish and set on top of a Black Licorice Cupcake Stand. You'll find a fantastic video available at MFT with step by step directions for the Cupcake Stand HERE.

If you have any questions about any of today's projects, please let me know, I'd be happy to answer your questions. I hope you've enjoyed Day 6 of Release Countdown Week and have plans to stop back tomorrow for a 4th of July treat!
-Amy
