MFT Release Countdown Day 3 - Gerbera Frame

Welcome to Day 3 of the May Release Countdown with My Favorite Things! I'm crushing on the Gerbera Daisy Die-namics today combined with Rectangle Frames Die-namics - two of today's featured products.  Be sure to check out the full reveals of all of today's featured products on the MFT Blog.

Wanting my Gerbera Daisy to really pop, I combined my Razzle Berry bloom with neutral shades - Primitive White and Grout Gray. After die-cutting my Rectangle Frame, I stamped the outer frame piece with Linen Background and the inside rectangle piece with Striped Background in Grout Gray ink.

The sentiment is from Sea Life, and the sequins were cut from Grout Gray cardstock using the cool new Sequins Die-namics. How cool is that, you can make your own sequins?! For added shimmer, I spritzed my Grout Gray cardstock with Sheer Shimmer Mist before die-cutting them.

More Razzle Berry, Grout Gray and a sentiment from Watt's Up on the inside for a simple finish.

    Amy, the card is great because I can see the gray grout color so well -- how did you do the black flicks of ink? Toothbrush? Paintbrush?

      Mary, I used a paintbrush to splatter watered down black licorice ink, tapping it against a pencil.

    Really great card using the frame dies! It would be easy to make a shaker card with this die. Thanks for sharing!
