MFT Release Countdown - It's a Pirate's Life

Hi there, and welcome to my blog. I'm so glad you stopped by for day 2 of the MFT Release Countdown, where we're counting down the days until the release of all new goodies at the MFT Store on Tuesday, January 7th at 10pm EST (that's tomorrow)!

Today I'm crushin' on a new set from Wendy Burns Design called It's a Pirate's Life, and is it ever adorable! This set, along with a few other goodies, is being featured on the MFT Blog today, so be sure to check them out. You'll also find a complete list of links to all designers playing along with today's featured products.
After deciding on a fun nautical color combo of Red Hot, Blu Raspberry, Nightshift Blue, Kraft and Primitive Cream, I stamped the main ship image in Electric Red ink and accented it with Grout Gray clouds and fish, and  Blu Raspberry hearts. The Kraft Fishtail Flag is stamped with one of the wood grain stamps from Wood You Be Mine?.

The Dimensional Banners Die-namics do just that - add fun dimension to your project! You can see here how I've allowed the center portion of the banner to billow out just by applying adhesive to the left and right banner ends only. A solo Blu Raspberry anchor from Seaside Charms floats freely from the banner, adding a bit more floaty fun.

Because I'm planning to use this as a valentine card, I die cut the solid heart from TRANSFORM-ables Heart Full of Love Die-namics and stamped it with another of the sentiments included in It's a Pirate's Life and the tiny heart stamp from Love's the Ticket.

Just one more day to go, and I hope you'll stop back for my final Release Countdown project tomorrow! But that's not it, we have more celebrating to do, starting with the release kick off party at SCS followed up with the New Product Launch. You'll find complete details for all of this at the MFT Blog!
