I'd recently seen a really cool color-blocked card (probably Pinterest) and thought it would make for a great contrast with the beautiful, floaty butterflies from Winged Beauties. I also wanted some depth to my stamping, as if the butterflies were fluttering around in a random cluster, so I used three different colors of ink to achieve this look: Steel Blue, Steel Grey and Sweet Tooth on Steel Grey card stock.
I love, love, love the variety in sizes of butterflies available in Winged Beauties which lent itself perfectly for the look and feel I wanted. A single strip of Lemon Drop card stock adds a wow-pow punch and is stamped with a sentiment from Fall Foliage in Steel Blue ink.
The inside of my card carries on with the same stamping and color blocking look at the card front. A large, open butterfly stamped in Sweet Tooth pigment ink is topped with another sentiment from Fall Foliage stamped in Steel Grey ink on a Steel Grey layer.I hope you've enjoyed today's Teaser Time post featuring Winged Beauties!
