MFT Teasers Day 5

Well folks, we're inching closer to the next big thing release on Tuesday night at 10pm EST, can you feel the excitement?! I've got a couple of fun cards for you today featuring the uber cool Die-namics Sun Ray, and you'll see two totally different looks in the two cards I've made with it. Today's Teasers also feature another adorable set from Doodle Garden - Aloha and the cutest Die-namics Palm Tree you've ever seen! You can see a list of everyone participating in today's Teasers over at the MFT Blog.

My first card features a Gumdrop Green frame made with the new Die-namics Chalkboard Frame Builder, and I am so excited about the this set because you can customize your frame to any stinkin' size you need! Brilliant. Each piece of the frame was stamped with the barn board image from Western Backgrounds in watermark ink for a really authentic look. Inside the frame is the adorable DG Aloha girl who is doin' her thing on sand made from Kraft cardstock that was embossed with the Die-namics Peek-a-Boo Dots Border.  A bright, cheery Die-namics Hibiscus bloom grounds the sentiment strip.

Behind my hula girl is the Die-namics Sun Ray that I used as a stencil. I mixed Lemon Drop reinker with water in a mini spritzer bottle and sprayed it over my Sun Ray 'stencil' to create a rich, yellow sun ray. After it dried, I diluted my sprintzer bottle with more water and lightly sprayed over the sun ray again as the white negative space was a bit too white. The lighter shade of Lemon Drop gave it the subtle look I was aiming for.

Here you get a closer peek at the Washi Patterns + Die-namics sentiment strip. The pattern was stamped in Sno Cone and the sentiment in Blu Raspberry for a subtle look that could easily mimic ocean waves, right?!

A peek inside shows a matching strip of washi tape partnered with a dotted washi strip in Gumdrop Green for a little pop of color. Aloha girl is stamped in Lemon Drop.

I decided to go patriotic on the Sun Ray Die-namics with Electric Red, Primitive White and Nightshift Blue with a dab of gold on top! I covered the circle opening in the Sun Ray with a Nightshift Blue rectangle and Primitive White star from Blueprints 4. The sentiment from Bold Statements was stamped and embossed on both the Electric Red and Primitive White layers and then aligned for bit of a modern edge.

I carried the stars inside with the Scattered Stars Die-namics Border, another sentiment combo from Bold Statements and brushstroke from Abstract Art.  I'm kinda diggin' this one, and it's getting me in the mood for summer, even though our weather hasn't been cooperating! Oh well, I still have 3 days of work this week to make up for those awesome snow days we had this winter/spring. ;-)

I really hope you've enjoyed seeing the Sun Ray Die-namics in action and head on over to the MFT Blog for more sunny goodness. Thanks for stopping!
~Amy
