MFT New Product Launch - Blueprints 18

Welcome to the New Product Launch with My Favorite Things! All products from this release are NOW AVAILABLE for purchase at the MFT Store. Check out the click-n-shop links provided at the end of this post for your shopping convenience.

I have 3 cards to share with you tonight featuring Blueprints 18 combined with Geek is Chic stamps and Geek is Chic Glasses Die-namics, so let's take a look!

Hello, Kitty! While looking for inspiration, I came across a pair of Hello, Kitty glasses and knew I had to recreate them using the Geek is Chic Glasses.

I glitzed up the frames with a nice shiny coat of MIX-ables Sheer Sparkle Glitter Glaze, a Bubblegum felt bow from Blueprints 3 and Black Licorice whiskers.

Here you can see the Jumbo Polka Dot Stencil embossing on the Blueprints 18 angled layer. Tip: die cut your layer first and then emboss with your stencil to preserve the depth and texture of the embossed image.

It's a bird...it's a plane...it's Superman! Well, not really, but it was fun putting this card together, and the Blueprints Die-namics makes layering a breeze!

Blueprints 18 comes with stars in three sizes for lots of embellishing options. I've used the two smaller sizes here along with the smaller glasses and a sentiment from Geek is Chic (my card inspiration).

I've finished the inside of the card with stamps from Geek is Chic (yes, there are awesome glasses stamps!), selectively inking the sentiment to pop the word 'heart' in Red Hot ink.

I love that you can follow the Blueprints sketches to a 'T' or mix and match as you like. Lots of background stamping on this one - a sentiment from Geek is Chic and the new Writing Tablet Background stamp.

I had so much fun making these wood grain frames. I first die cut them from Chocolate Brown, then stamped the wood grain image from More Washi Patterns in Hot Fudge, and finally added a thick coat of glossy accents for a more authentic look. I love the glossy accents finish, but it does make it harder to see the wood grain pattern.

And a simple finish on the inside with a striped Fishtail Flag, Geek is Chic sentiment and more Blueprints 18 stars in Tangy Orange.

And there you have another look at Blueprints 18 NOW available at My Favorite Things! Direct shopping links are available below for all three cards.

MFT is giving away 2 - $100 vouchers for the MFT Boutique! Winners will be chosen at random from comments left at any of the MFT Design Team blogs between now and Thursday, August 14th around noon. Good luck!
