Color Throwdown 428 - Hogs & Kisses

Hi and welcome to our first Color Throwdown Challenge of February.

This week's color palette is screaming for Valentine's Day in shades of pink, red and chocolate, and I immediately pictured the adorable Reverse Confetti piggy (Cured) in a puddle of mud with red hearts wafting above his sweet pink head.

I started by white embossing the sentiment and then color washing a mud puddle over it using Zig markers. I then colored and die cut my Cured piggy, sat him in the middle of the puddle and sprinkled a few hearts on and above his sweet little noggin. The hearts were die cut using the Weather It Together Confetti Cuts die set.

Are you inspired yet? If not, there's plenty more to see by clicking on the links below. I know I can't wait to see what the CTD team has in store this week. I sure hope you'll carve out a little time to play along with our challenge. Who knows, YOU may be our next special guest!

Color Throwdown 427 - Adventure Awaits!

Welcome to this week's Color Throwdown Challenge! We've got a pastel-y delight for you this week, and I've used a combination of Reverse Confetti stamps for my card.

http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2017/01/color-throwdown-427.html

I started by embossing the sentiment from My World in white and then watercolored over it in blue. I then added images from Bearing Gifts that I'd also watercolored with Zig markers. Finally, I added a trio of my favorite wood veneer stars.

Inspired By All The LIttle Things - Foodie Fun

I'm playing along with this week's challenge at Inspired By All The Little Things using Foodie Fun from Reverse Confetti. I was immediately drawn to the chalkboard in the inspiration piece and planned to add in a smattering of red hearts but opted out because I was really liking the simple-ness of the kraft and black. I did add in white dots here and there to mimic the chalkboard.

Here's a peek at the fabulous inspiration piece - so much to love.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a great day!

Color throwdown 426

Welcome to Color Throwdown #426! I've combined this week's color palette with my new-favorite stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas - This Could Be Vodka. If you ever need a giggle-lift, go ahead and google this set.  I combined this adorable image with a Reverse Confetti Valentine's Day sentiment from Crushin'.

My image is stamped and clear embossed on Reverse Confetti's Cloud White Cardstock and then watercolored with Zig markers. I added slight shadow with the same grey Zig marker as the coffee mug and then stamped the sentiment directly below. Clean and simple and ready to go postal for Valentine's Day.

CTD #425 + January SFYTT

I'm doubling up challenges today with a card featuring this week's Color Throwdown Challenge and the January Sketch For You To Try from Reverse Confetti.

My card uses a fun hounds tooth paper from the True Love 6x6 pad along with sentiments from Crazy About You. I just love the 'to the moon and back' sentiment and decided the Seeing Star Confetti Cuts would make a great embellishment.

Playing along with either the sketch or color challenge qualifies you for a chance to become a guest at CTD or a gift certificate to Reverse Confetti, so why not give it a whirl! Good luck. Ü

Reverse Confetti January Release Hop

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti new release blog hop. You'll find the complete hop listed further below - enjoy all the lovelies! I've used Crazy About You and Goodie Box Confetti Cuts for today's projects.

I used the large circle die from Goodie Box Additions to create an opening in the Goodie Box before assembling it. How exciting to discover the EOS lip balm fit perfectly and adds a fun pop of color through the opening!

Here's a peek at the Goodie Box Additions tag. Have you checked out the yummy new cardstock colors - Salsa, Flamingo, Rose and Piggy Bank?! They mix perfectly. I used Salsa to cut the 'xo' from XOXO Hearts Confetti Cuts.

Finally, a close up of the Heart Banners Confetti Cuts. You might have also noticed subtle dry embossing on the left hand strip of Flamingo cardstock using the Hearts stencil. I just love adding subtle texture.

It's time to hop around for more ideas and inspiration following the order below. Thank you SO much for stopping by this week and for your sweet comments, too! If want to check out the entire release in the Reverse Confetti store, click HERE - happy shopping and hopping!
