Color Throwdown 432

A new Color Throwdown is up and running, and we'd love to have you play along with this week's color combo - bright green, yellow, red and aqua. As always, our colors are generic - use what you have on hand and add in any neutrals you wish.

We'd love to see your work, so please use keyword CTD432 in public galleries and #ctd432 and #colorthrowdown on social media.

My card is wearing lots of die cuts from SugarPea Designs, including SugarCuts - Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles, Celebrate, Stitched Flags and stars from Gift Card Tag.  The Stitched Flags are cut from the yummy new Life Is A Carnival Pad - love the stripes and polka dots!

SPD Sweet Peek - CarnivalScape Hello

Today marks the final day of our Sweet Peek Week with SugarPea Designs. This release is filled with circus fun, from stamps to dies to patterned paper. I hope you've enjoyed my sweet peeks and would like to thank you for your sweet comments!

I've seen so many cool ideas from the design team this week using the SugarCut - CarnivalScape die and couldn't wait to put my spin on it. After cutting it from red cardstock, I white embossed a sentiment from What's Poppin'? and layered it on my favorite striped paper from Life Is A Circus. Finally, a pair of SugarCut - Stitched Flags peeking below the sentiment because I can't get enough of this patterned paper pad!

It's time to head on over to the SugarPea blog for complete release information and more sweet peeks, but before you go, leave a little love in the comment section for a chance to win the Sweet Incentive stamp - Striped Background

SPD Sweet Peek - What's Poppin'?

Welcome to day 4 of the SugarPea Designs February Product Release. All new stamps, dies and patterned paper will be available for purchase tomorrow at 6pm EST. Are you making a list?

I've combined a sentiment from What's Poppin? with the Popcorn Treat Box die set. You are going to flip for this die! You can use it to make an actual popcorn box or as I've used it on my card today as a layer. I die cut a piece of the Life Is A Circus patterned paper and then peeked it through a round window.

I then die cut a few handfuls of calorie-free popcorn (I know, right) and adhered it inside the popcorn box layer and scattered up and around the card as if it were popping right out of the box.

Would you like to win the What's Poppin? stamp set? All you need to do is leave a comment here on my blog post and also on today's SPD blog post telling us about your favorite carnival or fair treat! You'll definitely want to stop at the SPD blog to leave your comment and for my inspiration from the design team. Good luck and thanks for stopping by today!

CTD 430 + Let Love Grow

Hi all, it's Wednesday and that's mean a new Color Throwdown Challenge. This week's color combo is very 'earthy', so naturally (pun intended) I reached for a stamp set featuring something from the outdoorsy - Let Love Grow (I love-love-love this set!).

I used the shades of green for my potted plant and then used the shades of brown and kraft for the sentiment and grounding pebbles. The stamped pebbles are also from  Let Love Grow and the tiny dots were made with a Copic marker.

Time to click on over to the CTD team for more inspiration!

I stamped and colored my chunky monkey and tree branch with Zig markers and then die cut them with the coordinating SugarCuts - Chunky Monkey. The scene and sentiment is set on a piece of the new Life Is A Carnival patterned paper trimmed with the SugarCuts - Chatterbox Journal Card

#beastmode Blog Hop

I am so excited to be a part of today's #beastmode blog hop in honor of our fearless leader, Jen del Muro! Jen is and has been a steady presence in the crafting industry for as long as I can remember, first as a designer (y'all remember the Genie Bag on Splitcoast Stampers, right?) and now the owner and creative genius behind Reverse Confetti! Jen's creative fire and tenacity will serve her well as she now faces this most difficult journey of breast cancer. Jen, YOU ARE AMAZING! Holding you and your family close to our hearts, minds and prayers. God Bless!

Below is information about Jen and the reason for today's blog hop:
"Jen was diagnosed with breast cancer toward the end of last year. She's been dealt a pretty bad hand as far as the treatment for her type of aggressive cancer, but the prognosis is good. This year will be quite the journey and battle, but she is a strong and very motivated woman. She's done lots of reading up on how she can take on a positive role in fighting her cancer from all angles, including diet and exercise. With only a couple of treatments under her belt so far, she is looking and feeling good, and plans to keep it that way! Her mantra has become a viral hashtag among her friends and crafty peers - #beastmode - and it totally fits Jen's personality! We love her!"
#BEASTMODE BLOG HOP

My card uses a really cool sentiment set from Reverse Confetti called Posted Note Sentiments along with a sun-tastic Confetti Cuts die, Sunburst Cover Panel. After stamping and gold embossing the 'amazing' sentiment, I created a shaker window in the opening of the Sunb and filled it with a soft pink and gold sequin mixture.

Thank you for hopping by today...remember to get your boobies squished!

I used the Goodie Box Confetti Cuts die to create a box with peekaboo window to house a snack size portion of S'mores Trail Mix (mini marshmallows, mini chocolate chips and French Toast Crunch cereal).

The trail mix pairs perfectly with the sentiment from S'more Love. I colored my scene in this week's Color Throwdown colors - orange, black and turquoise. You can see the CTD inspiration photo below.
