SugarPea Designs - Monday Hello

Hey there sugar peeps, I'm popping in with a card this morning that uses stamps and dies from SugarPea Designs. More sweet inspiration from my design teammates can be found over at the SugarPea blog, so be sure to stop over for a bit.

I used the smallest three circle dies from Zig Zag Stitched Circles and layered them a single cross stitch to create a folk-artsy felt flower and then snipped the outer edge of each to add a fringed effect.
The stem is a sliver of green cardstock and the leaves are from the ampersand die from Notebook Journal Card. Finally, the sentiment is from Funky Wreaths - All Seasons stamped in pink to match the cross-stitch on the flower. Sweet and simple as can be!

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a great Monday!

Color Throwdown 385 - hello

Happy Saturday! I hope you're all enjoying a blessed Easter weekend. I've got a card for you today featuring Color Throwdown #385 and Reverse Confetti's The Tweet Life.

I think I was inspired by all of the birds we had at the feeder this week before and after the snowstorm on Wednesday and colored up this cutie in the shades of turquoise featured in the challenge.

I bought a roll of gold glitter duck tape (or is it 'duct', I never know which it is...) and can't stop using it! I just trim a strip of it, apply it to a scrap of cardstock and run it through my Big Shot with whatever die I'm using. This time I used it on the tree branch from The Tweet Life. C'mon, who doesn't love a glittery branch on which to perch?!

Stop on over at the Color Throwdown Blog for more inspiration have a wonderful weekend!

Reverse Confetti Easter Basket Tags

I'm hopping in to share a handful of Easter basket tags I made using Reverse Confetti dies and stamps, just in time for last minute crafters like me!

First up is a bunny-money tag using the Merry & Bright bulb and Pineapples Aplenty leaves as a carrot topped with the Happy Pretty Panels letters in gold and embossed sentiment from Whole Lotta Happy.

Next is a set of personalized tags using that cute chick from The Tweet Life and Alphabetical. Don't you just love their stripey tummy-tums?!

I again used Alphabetical to personalize along with Hippity Hoppity for this cute bunny scene.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm a last-minute kinda girl, so that's why you're not seeing these tags attached to anything like say a basket. Psssh - I've got a few days left for that! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Easter weekend. Blessings to you!

Let's Meet for Coffee

Hello Monday! I'm posting with the SugarPea Designs Monday group today along with an entry for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, so take a minute to check out the SPD Blog and the Coffee Lovers Hop for lots of stamping inspiration to get your Monday mojo going!

I decided to go nautical with the SugarPea Designs SugarCuts - Coffee To Go Cup along with a sentiment from Espresso Yourself. Sorta like sailin' into spring, right? That reminds me of a scene from the movie What About Bob? - I'm sailing! If you've yet to watch this movie - you need to watch it (over and over and over).

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

**click HERE for my Reverse Confetti Spring Fling Blog Hop post**

I'm so excited to be part of the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop sharing a little something spring-y using SugarPea Designs stamps and dies! You'll find complete hop details HERE, and in the meantime, here are the basics to get you thinkin'...

WHEN: Friday, March 18 - Friday, March 25
THEME: Spring
USE: coffee, tea &/or cocoa images

SugarPea recently released the perfect little SugarCuts - Egg-a-licious egg die that just happens to fit inside the SugarCuts - Coffee To Go Cup, so naturally, I had to combine the two for the occasion.;-)

I lidded my to-go cup in glittery gold and gave the cup itself a woodgrain texture using the Woodgrain Journal Card. My little peep is made with the SugarCuts - Egg-a-licious die, a hand trimmed beak and two black eyes using Ranger Enamel Accents. The sentiment is from Egg-a-licious stamped on a fishtail flag from the SugarCuts - Gift Tag set.

There are some swanky prizes to be won by playing along, so get your coffee on and play along! Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Reverse Confetti Spring Fling Blog Hop

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti Spring Fling Blog Hop! The Confetti Crew is teaming up to inspire you with a grand-slam of papercrafting projects using the latest and greatest products from Reverse Confetti, and by leaving a little love in the comment box you could win a $15 RC gift certificate!

True story: my local ShopKo had (what I assumed to be) last year's 4th of July candy on clearance alongside this year's Easter candy, and not wanting to pass up a super good deal, I naturally snatched up a box of Mike-n-Ike candies, duh. And because I couldn't resist using the Happy Pretty Panels Confetti Cut and coordinating Whole Lotta Happy to create this treat bag to make good with my candy purchase, I sorta skipped spring and headed straight for summer! Makes sense, right?

I wanted to show you how I used the Flower For Mom Confetti Cuts to create the tag. After cutting the medallion layer from red cardstock, I cut out a center circle to create an opening and then positioned the blue layer inside, holding them together with a cute mini clothespin.

The Star Garland Confetti Cuts in glittery gold was perfect to enhance the gold embossing in the layered tag.

Thank you for stopping by today! Please see the full blog hop order below to keep on a-hoppin' for more fun and inspiration from Reverse Confetti. Have a great weeekend!
