Classy Chicks Wine Bottle Tag

Happy New Year's Eve day! One last post for 2015 to share a fun little wine bottle tag I made for the hostess of the party we're going to tonight. She's a red wine kinda girl, and she'll totally get a kick out of the sentiment from SugarPea Designs' hilarious Feeling Sentimental and coordinating set, Everyday is Christmas.

After gold embossing the 'french hen' from Everyday is Christmas, I added bits of white colored pencil and gold shimmery Sakura Jelly Roll pen. I also added a few gold stars and gold themed washi tape as well.

Have a fun & safe New Year's Eve and we'll see you in 2016!

Faith

Hi there! It's been a little while since my last post while I was enjoying lots of Christmas celebration with friends and family over the last week or so, and I'm (almost) ready to get back into a regular routine (next week).  In the meantime, I've got a clean and simple card to share today featuring one of my favorite Reverse Confetti sets, God is Good.

I really wanted to pull the gold of the washi tape into the sentiment, so I gold embossed 'faith' and left the rest of the sentiment black. If you're wondering how I did it, you're in luck, because I'm going to tell you!

Using Versafine Onyx Black ink (you can emboss with it) and your MISTI stamping tool, stamp the sentiment once and leave the cardstock in the MISTI. Next, put repositionable tape on the areas of the stamped image you DON'T want to emboss and rub your anti-static pouch or tool over the entire area as you would before embossing. Now, get your embossing powder handy, reink the stamp and stamp the image again. Immediately apply embossing powder to the entire image, even on top of the tape. Carefully remove the tape, making sure you don't disturb the embossing powder on the word 'faith' and heat set as usual.

Before I go, I'd like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! I'm looking forward to sharing lots of crafty inspiration with you in 2016 as I continue to design for two wonderful companies, Reverse Confetti and SugarPea Designs. I'm a very lucky girl and I appreciate your love and support!

Simply Christmas

Happy Holidays! I'm squealing in with another simply Christmas card with you today, just in case you're like me and still crankin' out cards! I love a good stag head and thought the SugarPea Designs Woodgrain Journal Card and Funky Wreath paired just perfectly with Essentials by Ellen Prize Stag.

I really wanted this to stay clean and simple and decided to forego a sentiment. Crazy, I know.

A little gold, a little felt, a little cardboard.

Hope you're enjoying the holiday frenzy this week typically brings and are blessed with much time with your friends and family!

Holiday {thank you} Gift Card Holders

I've got a pair of gift card holders for you today using my go-to gift card giving supplies from Reverse Confetti - Holly & Gift Card Holder Tag Confetti Cuts. My fun and functional cards also qualify for this week's Color Throwdown #373 and Freshly Made Sketches #217.

I made two of these to give to our school maintenance guys (or as we called them back in my day - janitors) with gift cards to their favorite 'spot' (wink). I thought the So Stripey diagonal stripe in black on gray cardstock gave these a little masculine touch.

Here's a closer look at mr. green. I sure hope you're not tiring of the Holly Confetti Cuts...me neither!

And mr. red ain't bad, either. I just love that I can whip up a few of these in about 15 minutes and adds a handmade touch to gift card giving.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you're finding some help and inspiration for your gift giving/wrapping needs!

Reverse Confetti December SFYTT

Time's a flyin' folks! It's already time for my December Sketch  For You To Try post which means we're almost halfway through the month...are you ready for Christmas?! I'm getting there, slow but sure, so I've used this month's SFYTT to add one more card to my Christmas card stash.

Once you see the original sketch, you'll see that I sorta omitted the rectangular layer. I tried, people, I really tried, but it just wasn't workin' and it was time for bed! It's there, you just can't see it - sorta like Santa, right?! Point it this - you can make the sketch your own, we just want you to come out and play!

I think most of my handmade cards this year have the Holly Confetti Cuts somewhere on them - I adore that die! I'm not normally one to push a sale on you, but you can't go wrong with it, but right now it's out of stock, so sign up for the waitlist to be notified when it's back in stock.

Once you've got your SFYTT card all ready, link it up over at the Reverse Confetti blog for your chance to win Confetti Cash! Click HERE for the direct link. Have a great weekend all, and thanks for stopping by today!

Reverse Confetti Blog Hop - Holly Garland

Welcome to the Reverse Confetti December blog hop! I have a fun project to share with you today featuring the Holly Confetti Cuts, so let's get moving. Speaking of moving, you may have arrived here from Kay's blog and you'll want to hop along to Amy's blog when you've finished up here. Or, if you want to start at the tippy top of the hop, go to the Reverse Confetti Blog.

I started by cutting a variety of green cardstock colors with the Holly Confetti Cuts leaves and punched a whole slew of 3/4" red circles. This project is a great way to use up your scraps!

I placed the leaves and berries face down in a long line (about 8 or so leaves/berries at  time), ran a line of glue down the center of each and then carefully placed the twine on the glue, pressing it gently into the glue. I learned very quickly that slow and steady wins the race!

It didn't take long for the glue to dry (Tombow Mono Adhesive), and my holly garland was ready to roll. I picked up this $3 tree at Target a few weeks ago -  just perfect for the garland.

One last look and then it's time to hop on over to Amy Tsuruta's blog for something fun and festive!

Wait, I've got more for you! Each of the Confetti Crew is sharing their three favorite Reverse Confetti projects from 2015, and here are my top three:

Color Throwdown + SPD Funky Wreath

Happy (almost) Friday! I have a clean and simple little number for you today to kick off the weekend. My card features stamp goodness from SugarPea Designs and current Color Throwdown Challenge #371. I'd been wanting to stamp a black wreath using the twiggy wreath from Funky Wreath - All Seasons, and took advantage of the gold/white/black color combo to make my stampy wishes come true. I then went in and stamped and gold embossed the individual leaves.

Here's a CRAFTY TIP for you - use Versafine Onyx Black ink for gold embossing, but you have to work fast as the ink dries faster than VersaMark watermark ink. I think the Versafine ink gives you a cleaner image to work with, especially in this case with the fine lines of the sentiment.

Have a great weekend, and I'll see you back next week for a Reverse Confetti Hop on Tuesday, and more SugarPea Designs on Thursday!

FMS - merry christmas tree

I'm a day late and a dollar short, but I love Freshly Made Sketches #214 and just had to give it a crafty whirl after seeing Amy's adorable cards yesterday.

I love the simplicity of the FMS and kept my card clean and simple as well. The stamped sentiment and snowflakes are from Jolly Holiday and the die cut layers include Wonky Double Edge Scallop Border and Branch Out Confetti Cuts.

I decided to sprinkle in a few wood veneer stars to go with the woodgrain tree.

Thanks for stopping by today!
~Amy
