Big News = happy GIRL!

I have some pretty exciting news to share with you today, folks: I am the newest member of the My Favorite Things Design Team! It is my honor and privilege to work with an amazing company and design team who are not only talented, but kind, warm and welcoming to infinity and beyond! So, without further adieu, here is a card stamped in honor of ME + MFT = happy GIRL!

I had to take advantage of the current MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch (MFTWSC117), and combined it with Birthday Sentiments, Off the Chart, Lollipop Additions - Love and Lollipop Additions - Birthday. I feel like a broken record, but I can't say it enough: I love, love, LOVE mixing and matching the stamps from My Favorite Things...it's just easy like a Sunday mornin'!

Here's a peek at the inside with a sentiment from Off the Chart, embellished with stamps from the Lollipop Additions sets and a trio of hot pink rhinestones. I think the sentiment says it all when it comes to MFT...they've got it all, and I'm feeling pretty lucky to be a part of this amazing company!

Be sure to stop back here later this week as well as the MFT blog for Teasers leading up to the new release on April 9th, because I've got lots of fun in store for you as well as the rest of Team MFT! Ü

Let's Celebrate (again)!

Popping in with a quick post and card that uses the current Wednesday Stamp Club sketch from My Favorite Things. Love these weekly sketches to get my mojo running! If you're keeping track, this is sketch #116 (MFTWSC116).

I had an extra photo frame from my last blog post card and decided to 'use it up', like grandma always said. Along with the extra frame come some old and new Die-namics: High Rise Numbers, Fishtail Flags, Labels and Tabs, Poppy Builder and Party Banner. I've combined my fun-loving die cuts with equally fun stamps from MFT: Birthday Sentiments (this month's Triple Scoop Set), ALM Big Birthday Numbers and Right This Way.

I've enlisted the help of InLinkz to keep my supply list organized, so you'll find links to products used in the list below. Hoping to get more stamping time next week during my spring break, so I hope you'll stop back soon!

hello {sunshine}

Even though I just got 'the call' to say my school district is starting 2 hours late this morning, and I usually l.o.v.e. late starts and snow days, it's just getting a little ridic this year. I'm SO ready for spring, so I decided to take my 'late start' time and put together a little sunshine-y card to get me back into spring mode thinking!

I love this 'overdue' stamp from Laina Lamb's newest MFT set, Library Card, and thought it was a no-brainer for my ode to spring, since most everyone is usually clamoring for spring by the time it finally arrives. A cheery 'hello' die cut from the High-Rise Lowercase Alphabet is combined with a Flat-Bottom Cloud in cork board and Sunshine in its proverbial sunshine yellow. Ü

My 'late start' is coming to a proverbial end here, so I'd better scoot on into work-mode. Happy Monday!

Reach For The Stars

I have to admit that I've not dabbled much in the whole 'western theme' more than once, maybe twice, in my papercrafting career, but it just can't get any easier, when you're using brank spankin' new products from My Favorite Things. I know, that totally sounded like an advertisement, but it's SO TRUE! The team over at MFT really knows how to make their products work together and that's cherries on top for the rest of us!

I've combined two new stamp sets, Inspired By Wild Wild West and Western Sentiments along with this week's Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #114. Rows of stars were added using a stamp from At The Movies, as well as a few Die-namics: Barbed Wire Fence, Fishtail Flags Layers, Leaf Filled Flourish and Stacking Stars. I love how that flourish lends itself so well to the western theme.
Here's a peek at the inside of the card stamped with one of the larger images from Wild Wild West. I love this sentiment, which I stamped half of on the front and half here, inside. A little edge distressing rounds out my 'wanted poster' look. Ü

You can check below for products used in my card today. Yep, I've jumped on the InLinkz wagon...'bout time, wouldn't you agree?!

We Just Click!

I wasn't ready to put Cute Cameras and Captured Memories away just yet...
...and came up with this using Karen G.'s Sweet Sunday Sketch. Ü

A close up shot shows the stamped background using light gray ink and the 'snapshot definition' stamp from Captured Memories. One of the sentiments from the set is stamped boldly in black across a narrow scrap of gray card stock with a trio of emerald fishtail flags waving below. I decided to add a little pink button to the camera lens opening to pull in the pink stripes of the lower half of the card.

No patterned paper here, just a little stamping and messing with the print feature of my Silhouette using this tutorial from the Silhouette blog for my pink striped paper. I think the graphic print and stripes just 'click', don't you? Ü

Thanks for stopping by today!
