Bingo {60th} Birthday

Welcome to this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club post, and thanks for stopping by today! I have a birthday card to share with you that I created for a friend's 60th birthday using this week's sketch along with Document It - Bingo.

I substituted a Bingo card stamped in Steel Blue for the suggested Instaframe on the original sketch and highlighted '60' with  Berrylicious circle and star stamps from Bingo.

I further highlighted '60' with tiny stars from the Western Star Border and tied it all up with Hemp Cord.

The inside shows a Berrylicious Fishtail Flag stamped with a sentiment from Birthday Sentiments hovering over a row of stamped stars on Lemon Drop cardstock in coordinating ink.

I hope you get a chance to play along with this week's sketch! Check out all the WSC details at the MFT Blog when you get a second. I'll be back next week with June Teasers...can you believe it's already time for that?! Until then, thanks for stopping by. Later gator!

Destiny {WSC 125}

Welcome to this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch post! I'm in high gear preparing for my son Hank's upcoming graduation party, which also means I'm padding my stash of grad cards for his friends and family members also graduating from high school this year. What an exciting time for these young adults on the verge of the next big chapter of life!

I've stamped sentiments from Life's Direction in Lemon Drop Ink on both the cover and inside of today's card. These sentiments are perfect for so many occasions, but especially graduations.  Along with the anchor from Die-namics Sea Charms, I've used a very nautical color combination: Night Shift Blue, Lemon Drop Yellow, Steel Blue and Smooth White.  Love the crispness of these colors together!

Nautical is spot-on trendy these days with anchors popping up everywhere you look! I'm loving the Sea Charms anchor suspended from a wrap of natural hemp cord as seen above.

The inside of the card uses the same elements as the card front: Sea Charms anchor, hemp cord, Fishtail Flags and another sentiment from Life's Direction. Clean and simple!

Come sail away with this week's sketch, using keyword MFTWSC125 over at Splitcoast, so we can see what you've conjured up in your crafting world! Check out the original sketch along with WSC details at the MFT Blog and have yourself a great day.  Anchors away!

Instagrammed Memories {WSC 124}

Welcome to this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club sketch post! You'll find all of the WSC details as well as the original sketch over at the MFT blog, so be sure to stop over there, if you haven't already. I'm glad you stopped by because I've got (what I think is) a really fun card and technique to share with you today!

I'll start with the stamped Instagram camera image you see in the picture above. Now, I bet you're wondering where in the world did she find that cute Instagram camera stamp to match her Instagram Cute Camera die cut, huh?!  Well, I've seen a few online tutorials detailing how you can actually make a foam stamp from your dies and fun foam, so I googled it and came up with a Cute Camera foam stamp!

One word of advice - play around with your foam stamp as the foam seems to really soak up the ink. At first, you might not be overly pleased with the quality of your stamped image, but keep stamping away and use a piece of foam underneath to give your stamping an extra cushion. I've used Kraft ink on Natural card stock above, and I love the combination of the two, but I did play around with my foam stamp and stamped off quite a few times before getting the images that you see pictured. Stick with it, you'll be happy you did!

Here's a look at the inside of the card. I've again my die-cut foam stamp created from Die-namics Cute Cameras and a triple layer of adhesive backed fun foam to stamp a fun collage-y background of instagram cameras. A quad of Fishtail Flags pull your eye to the sentiment from Captured Memories.

Thanks for stopping by to see my WSC card. I hope you're inspired to give this week's sketch a try! If you are so inspired, please use keyword MFTWSC124 over at SCS so we can see it!

MFT May Release Rewind - Part 1

Welcome to the MFT May Release Rewind! This is a chance for us to share more projects made with the recently released MFT products that can be found in the Brand Spankin' New category of the MFT Boutique. Head on over to the MFT blog for a list of everyone participating in today's Release Rewind.

I'm sharing a bit more of the Blueprints 3 Die-namics combined with Life's Direction. I've geared my card toward the younger generation, specifically that group of younger girls who have fallen in love with horses! I've die cut and embossed the horse image from Life's Direction onto a Sour Apple circle die cut with Die-namics Blueprints 3 and layered it with other elements from the same Die-namics set - the Grape Jelly square and Kraft half circle layer. The horse blends perfectly with the new Die-namics Farm Fence topped with a Grape Jelly die cut bow from Blueprints 3. The background is stamped with Darling Dots stamp set which just happens to boast the same pierced outline as the Blueprints 3 circles. Love the mix-match-ability of MFT products!

Here's a peek at the interior of the card, again using elements from Blueprints 3, Sour Apple and Grape Jelly card stock with a sentiment from Life's Direction stamped in Sour Apple ink.

I hope you've enjoyed my Release Rewind project today and head over to the MFT blog for more fun projects!
