BIG birthday wishes, Wendy!

It's someone's birthday today, and her name is Wendy Bond! I'm so excited to be part of her birthday blog hop...here's to ya, Wendy! I've gotten to know Wendy while working on the MFT WSC Challenge Team together, and I can tell she's just one of the girls that I HAVE to meet someday in real life, because I have a sneaking suspicion that we have a lot in common, and we could probably get ourselves into a bit of trouble!

My card uses a fun mix of Cosmo Cricket's Circa 1934 papers and a sweet, yet mischievous birthday bunny from The Cat's Pajamas. It's hard to see on the photo, but the frosting on the cake is that shiny meringue frosting...you know, the kind you have to beat and beat and beat til it forms soft peaks? Wouldn't you know, I stuck my darn finger in it before it was dry, trying to tie the gingham bow--geesh, I have no patience!

Let's keep the par-tay going and hop on over to Christina's blog for more sure-to-be-spectacular birthday wishes!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club: LUV U2

For this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #4 using lots of fun MFT fixin's: Die-namics Dainty Lace Doily die, Die-namics Hearts a Plenty and Die-namics Banner Strip Die & Mini Alphabet stamp set. I wanted to combine a clean vintage look with a modern sentiment for a fun eclectic feel. The sentiment comes from the final-final text of the night between my daughter, Kendra and me. Even though texting can be a bit impersonal, those "Luv U2" messages from my kiddos get me every time!

Be sure to check on Kim's blog post for everyone playing along with this week's sketch, and then remember to post YOUR sketch card to SCS using keyword: MFTWSC4. Good luck and happy stamping!

TCP Tuesday 143: L-O-V-E!

Today's TCP Tuesday challenge is being hosted by our gal, Susan Liles, and she's challenging us to a TCP sentiment that contains the word "heart" or "love". Check out Susan's blog for today's challenge deets and don't forget to link up your card to Alma's blog as well.

I've got a few samples using new sets just released from The Cat's Pajamas a week ago. Just in case you haven't experienced quite enough arm-twisting, I'm here to twist and turn your arm a bit more. Let's start off with Love Letters and the new CutUps Heart Trio & Stamp Trio dies...

...and then there's Got Love, accompanied by our CutUps Heart Trio & Big Scallop dies...

...and finally, there's Bee My Honey, featuring stamps from Love Letters and Honey Bear. I know, I know--no "love" or "heart" in the sentiment, but the teeny heart from Love Letters counts, right?!

In order to isolate and stamp random hearts, I snipped one of the teeny tiny hearts from the row of hearts included in Love Letters. Mind you, I am VERY careful when I've finished stamping with that tiny stamp, so that I don't lose it (don't ask...).

Here are full shots of the TCP stamps and CutUps dies used today...

Thanks for stopping by today!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch #3

Is is cute or what?! The Jr. version of Dr. McDreamy...McSteamy...or whatever trips your clipboard! Pair him up with my new favorite paper from Cosmo Cricket, Circa 1934, and it's a match made in stamping heaven, girls. Almost forgot to tell you his real name...World's Best Doctor!

How are you liking the weekly sketch challenge for MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club? What's that you ask...do I like weekly sketches? LOVE.it. Check out Kim's blog for a full list of MFT girls playing along today, and then post your sketch card to SCS using keyword: MFTWSC3, so we can peek at all the sketchy goodness!

Happy Wednesday~Amy

TCP Tuesday 142 + Release Day Blog Hop!

Welcome to TCP Tuesday and our January stamp release blog hop! I'm showing off Bear Hugs in our TCP Tuesday color challenge: kraft, red, black and yellow. Sony is our hostess with the mostess with all of the challenge details. She's also heading up the blog hop today, so if you want to start from the top, head to Sony's blog. You may have also hopped here from Jen's blog on the hop...and you'll be heading to Leigh's blog when you're done here.

You are sure in for a calorie free treat today with all sorts of goodies from the entire Cat Pack! The hop is jam packed full of creations using the new sets available from The Cat's Pajamas as of today!

Here's a closeup of the CutUps banner which uses stamps from Love Letters. I stamped the words: hugs, &, kisses, one on each banner section in Versamark for a fun, subtle effect. Each of the banner sections is pulled together using the CutUps button trio die and Beige Linen Thread, also from TCP. To pull in the red a bit more, I used one of the teeny tiny hearts from Love Letters, and stamped it randomly on the heart...love that tiny heart, and it stamps so crisply!

Now that you've had a look at Bear Hugs, you are ready to hop along to Leigh's blog for something out of this world fantastic, no doubt!

Here are the TCP products used today:

Have fun on the hop, and don't forget to SHOP!!

Sneaky Peek Day #5: Love Letters

Sneaky Peek Week

Here's my little Sneaky Peek of Love Letters, coming to your mailbox on Tuesday, January 18th! Probably not your mailbox on the 18th, but soon after if you find yourself smitten with this set as much as I am. Actually, there's so much to love about it that it's a bit overwhelming in the fact that there are 19 stamps included in this set with soooo many possibilities! That overwhelming feeling is called: I have so many ideas for this stamp set and I don't know which idea to start with! I've also used a few TCP CutUps which can be seen below.

You MUST check out Alma's blog for an over the top awesome sample from the Cat Lady herself, and even more inspiration from my good buddies, Leigh and Carole! I won't keep you a minute longer, so you can check out the girls!

TCP Sneaky Peek Week, Day 3!

Welcome to Day 3 of The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week. The Cat Pack is gearing up for a fabulous release of 8 new stamps sets and 2 new CutUps dies set for you next Tuesday, January 18th. Check out Alma's blog each day for a full peek at each day's Sneaky Peek set along with the gals who are showing off their latest, greatest projects using that day's set.

Today's set is called Honey Bear, featuring none other than TCP's PJ! He (or she?) is hands-d0wn my favorite bear to stamp...so cute, such nice think lines to color inside, paper piece, or in this case--shrink with polyshrink plastic! Could PJ be more adorable all minimized?!

And then there's (of course) an adorable honey bee in the set, as well as some sweet sentiments...you're going to love.this.set! You'll also notice the perfectly sized felt hearts...yep, another CutUps die that you'll love.love.love!

I've followed Kerry's paper crafting blog instructions to make these quick and cute Valentine treat holders. You can find Kerry's instructions HERE. Thanks for always sharing such terrific ideas with your readers, Kerry!

Check back with my on Saturday for yet another Sneaky Peek! Here's a parting peek at that new CutUps heart trio die...

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club: sketch #2

It's Wednesday and that means another My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch...sketch #2 to be exact! I'm really loving the weekly sketch challenge, and so thankful MFT has agreed to take me along for another ride this term.

I've again chosen an a la mode girl to work with this week...Miss KTMH a la mode, also known as Key To My Heart. I've paired her with some delicious papers from My Mind's Eye, and wrapped it up with a yummy bow and stick pins. I like the contrast between the bright and dark pinks and reds in this paper line.

Have fun with this week's sketch and upload your sketch card to SCS using keyword: MFTWSC2. Stop by Kim's blog for a list of this week's challenge participants, and have a great Wednesday!

Sneaky Peek + TCP Tuesday Technic Challenge!

Sneaky Peek Week

It's time for Sneaky Peeks from The Cat's Pajamas because we have a splendiforous release coming up next Tuesday! Be sure to check out Alma's blog each day for more information about the Sneaky Peeks as well as the Cat Pack designers showing their stuff each day!

As for TCP Tuesday 141, here are a few details I lifted from Carole's blog: Jen is this week's Hostess With the Mostess, and she's put forth a supply/technique challenge to use ribbon in a non-traditional way. In other words? NO BOWS!

My card uses Ewe Complete Me (don't you love it?!) along with a brand spankin' new CutUps die, Heart Trio, and it's a "must have", ladies!

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to play along...remember, there's that Cat Cash up for grabs if you do!

MFT WSC is gettin' sketchy!

I realize how misleading my post title might be, but never fear, it's ALL good! The weekly My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club challenge is being revamped and will now feature a weekly sketch...I know--get out! I'm really excited about this new change because I often rely on great sketch as a starting point for my cards, and now I'll have a new one each week!

I sure hope you'll play along with us and upload your sketch card to SCS using keyword: MFTWSC1. Please pop over to Kim's blog for a full list of this week's participating MFT stampers! We'd also love to see you stop in at the MFT WSC Member Company Forum found here at SCS. Here are even more details about the new changes to the WSC challenges:

A new sketch will be posted each Wednesday at midnight on the MFT blog. You'll also find the sketch in the MFT forum on SCS on Wednesday morning, as well as in the weekly newsletter. Our talented Challenge and Design Teams will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. All you need to do to enter, is upload your card to the gallery at SCS, and enter the given keyword in the keyword box, during the upload process. After the deadline, we randomly choose a winner from that week's entries and the winner will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winning card uses MFT stamps, the participant will earn a $5 bonus, for a total of a $20 gift voucher! That is up to $100 per month in prizes, JUST for playing along. We hope you'll join us in 2011.
My card features a fun new a la mode "Cheers", as well as a Die-namics Medium Scallop Border die. It's difficult to see in the photo, but I added lots of sparkle here and there on her dress, hair, tights and champagne glass with a Sakura Gelly Roll pen (Stardust, I believe).

Hope you can get sketchy with us this week~Amy

Toni's got a fun inspiration piece for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge, so be sure to check out her blog for all the inspiration you'll need to participate this week! Here's my inspired card using one of the soon to be released sets from The Cat's Pajamas...

Isn't she adorable...and how about that sweet bird perched on her hand?! Speaking of birds, George and I made a few of these fun bird seed ornaments last night, and we're just waiting for them to dry a bit more before we hang them on our bird feeder stand in the backyard. I hope we get some takers!

There will be lots more coming your way from The Cat Pack over the next couple of weeks leading up to the TCP release, so stay tuned!

Have a great day!
