A bit 'o vintage sarcasm for ya!

My creation for TCP Tuesday sorta sums up my dichotomous personality with its witty and sarcastic sentiment; the fun mix of vintage and new elements; and the crazy mix of greens, all tied up with a sweet little flower and pretty polka dotted ribbon! I'm a true Gemini child--my love of music and playing for Sunday church services in constant competition with my yearning for a cold beer with friends, slinging cutting sarcasm along the way. I'm a wayward soul...

The vintage Bingo board came from Lisa Zappa, whom I met a couple of months ago IRL, so she's no longer a pretend stamping friend, she's a real friend and she's the Queen of Shabbychick Junk! She gave a group of us these Bingo boards to decorate. Some of the girls decorated them the same night we got together at Archiver's to stamp. That totally threw me for a loop because I'm just not that kinda girl! What I mean by that is that sometimes I have to let something simmer, especially when it's something cool, like a vintage Bingo board. I knew that someday I'd make something really cool with it, so I left it by my stamp table to simmer.

Some days it would give me anxiety just looking at it, knowing I should start on my something cool, but it just wasn't there...until today! The funny part is, I didn't have any intention of using it when I started my TCP Tuesday card, but it all just fell into place when I created the sentiment using a combination of computer-generated sentiment and the "good luck" sentiment from PTI's Mixed Messages. You see, Sprinkle can sometimes be a little, let's say, testy (ah-hem, bitchy) and that's when the sarcasm starts flowin' like cold beer on a hot summer day! Today she's a bit {testy} because I made her wear that silly hat which is not even a SPD hat; it's from another TCP set, Kitty Christmas, geesh! In her angst, she had to retaliate with a bit of sarcasm, adding "with that..." to her good luck wish to all those St. Paddy's Day Bingo players, wink!

Sometimes you have to play with the stamps you've already got and just be happy with it. It's called improvising, and that's what a good kitty does when she's got no other choice! Speaking of improvising, I did just that with the shamrock on Sprinkle's hat. It's three hearts stamped in shamrock fashion using the heart stamp from SU!'s Small Sayings set and then dotted with a marker for a little extra-extra. Well, that's about it for today kitty-cats, so thanks for stopping by and be sure to have some fun today!

Oh my gosh, Amy, this is amazing!!!! Your post is wonderfully entertaining, and your project is da BOMB. I absolutely adore your funky mish-mash of elements! I am SO with you - I would have had to let the bingo board simmer a while, too. And the anxiety part? right there with you on that too. But look what you've pulled out of your hat?! So worth the wait!

Fantastic way to improvise! I was lacking Irish TCP stamps too, but I also made do. My card is a little more, uhm, subdued than yours... Love your card! Love the sentiment! And it is good to know that Sprinkle 'speaks' to you too.

Amy, you did a fab job improvising - Sprinkle looks amazing! and that bingo card with the sentiment is too clever for words! I also had to improvise and let me tell you, it was a lots of fun and a true challenge :) All the elements go so well together, very nice.

I know just what you mean about not being able to use something just because it's given to you! and you sure did nicely with it when the time was right!

Oh my!!! I *love* this so much, Amy!!! That bingo card is the coolest, and Sprinkle would definitely say something just like that!!!!

And you know I like a cold beer and slinging a bit o' sarcasm. I'll let you keep playing for church (although I do like singing WITH A HYMNAL. IN MY SUNDAY CLOTHES. I'm a traditionalist when it comes to church (when I go) -- I like to follow the notes in the hymnals and not sing randomly from some projection screen. And I want to sit in pews and wear dressier-than-every-day clothes. No 'blue jean services' for me!) (Thanks for letting me get that off my chest...)
